Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said,“ It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.”

Leah became pregnant. She had a son. She named him Reuben. She said,“ The Lord has seen me suffer. Surely my husband will love me now.”

And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben, for she said,“ Because the Lord has looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”

So Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said,“ The Lord has noticed my misery, and now my husband will love me.”

Leah conceived, gave birth to a son, and named him Reuben, for she said,“ The LORD has seen my affliction; surely my husband will love me now.”

求你关注我的苦难和劳苦，除去我一切的罪恶。

要不是我父亲的神，亚伯拉罕的神，以撒所敬畏的那一位与我同在，你现在一定会打发我空手而去。神看到我的苦情和我手上的辛劳，就在昨夜责备了你。”

“为了除去我在人间的耻辱，主在这些眷顾的日子里，这样看待了我。”

到了一处住宿的地方，其中一个人打开自己的袋子，要拿饲料喂驴，却看见了自己的银子，看哪，就在袋子口！

鲁本哪，你是我的长子；你是我的力量，我强壮时头生的；尊荣出众、权力出众；你却放纵如水，必不再出众；因为你上了你父亲的床，把床玷污了。他居然上了我的床铺！

鲁本回到那坑，见约瑟不在坑里，就撕裂自己的衣服，

以色列在那地居住的时候，鲁本去与他父亲的小妾碧荷同睡；以色列也听到了这事。雅各有十二个儿子：

哈娜就怀孕；时候到了，生了一个儿子。哈娜给儿子起名为撒母耳，因为她说：“我向耶和华求得了他。”

接着耶和华的使者对她说：“看哪，你怀了孕，将会生一个儿子，你要给他起名为以实玛利，因为耶和华听见了你的苦情。

鲁本听见后，要救约瑟脱离他们的手，就说：“我们不可夺取他的性命。”又对他们说：“不可杀人流血！可以把他丢进这旷野的坑里，只是不可向他下手。”鲁本这样说，是要救约瑟脱离他们的手，把他带回父亲那里。

她许愿说：“万军之耶和华啊，如果你确实看到了你女仆的苦情，又记念我、不忘记你的女仆、赐给你女仆一个儿子，那么我必把他终生献给耶和华，绝不在他的头上用剃刀。”

然而，当他听到他们呼声的时候，就垂顾他们的危难，

来到埃及的以色列人，就是雅各和他的子孙——他们的名字如下：雅各的长子鲁本，鲁本的儿子哈诺、法路、希斯伦、迦米；

鲁本就回应他们，说：“我不是对你们说过：‘不要对那孩子犯罪’吗？可是你们不肯听；看哪，他的血债现在来追讨了！”
