This stone that I have set up as a marker will be God’s house, and I will give to you a tenth of all that you give me.”

我所立为柱子的石头也必作神的殿；凡你所赐给我的，我必将十分之一献给你。”

所立柱石、將為上帝室、凡上帝所錫我者、十輸其一以獻之、

且我立柱石將為上帝殿、上帝所錫我者、十輸其一、獻於上帝。

我所立為柱之石、將為天主室、凡主所賜我者、必十輸其一獻於主、

and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”

This stone I’ve set up as a sacred stone will be God’s house. And I’ll give you a tenth of everything you give me.”

and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God’s house. And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you.”

And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me.”

Jacob built an altar there and called the place El-bethel because it was there that God had revealed himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother.

“ Each year you are to set aside a tenth of all the produce grown in your fields.You are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and fresh oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place where he chooses to have his name dwell, so that you will always learn to fear the LORD your God.

God said to Jacob,“ Get up! Go to Bethel and settle there. Build an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

“ Every tenth of the land’s produce, grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.If a man decides to redeem any part of this tenth, he must add a fifth to its value.Every tenth animal from the herd or flock, which passes under the shepherd’s rod, will be holy to the LORD.He is not to inspect whether it is good or bad, and he is not to make a substitution for it. But if he does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute will be holy; they cannot be redeemed.”

Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.

From there he moved on to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. He built an altar to the LORD there, and he called on the name of the LORD.

And he set up an altar there and called it God, the God of Israel.

He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is none other than the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob set up a marker at the place where he had spoken to him— a stone marker. He poured a drink offering on it and poured oil on it.Jacob named the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.
