Then Jacob woke up and thought,“ Surely the LORD is in this place, but I did not realize it!”

When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought,“ Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”

Jacob woke up from his sleep. Then he thought,“ The Lord is surely in this place. And I didn’t even know it.”

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said,“ Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said,“ Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!”

When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he said,“ Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.”

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said,“ The Lord is certainly in this place, and I did not know it!”

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said,“ Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely Jehovah is in this place; and I knew it not.

God said,“ Do not approach any closer! Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

The commander of the LORD’s army answered Joshua,“ Remove your sandals from your feet, because the place where you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.

Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you?– majestic in holiness, fearful in praises, working wonders?

“ For God speaks, the first time in one way, the second time in another, though a person does not perceive it.

You are awe-inspiring, O God, as you emerge from your holy temple! It is the God of Israel who gives the people power and strength. God deserves praise!

You must recognize the authority of the LORD who commands armies. He is the one you must respect; he is the one you must fear.

If he passes by me, I cannot see him, if he goes by, I cannot perceive him.

The LORD called to Samuel, and he replied,“ Here I am!”Then he ran to Eli and said,“ Here I am, for you called me.” But Eli said,“ I didn’t call you. Go back and lie down.” So he went back and lay down.The LORD again called,“ Samuel!” So Samuel got up and went to Eli and said,“ Here I am, for you called me.” But Eli said,“ I didn’t call you, my son. Go back and lie down.”Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD; the word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.
