And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.

Now to the[ one] half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given[ possession] in Bashan: but unto the[ other] half thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them,

And he said, I[ am] thy son, thy firstborn Esau.And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where[ is] he that hath taken venison, and brought[ it] me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea,[ and] he shall be blessed.

And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,

And make ye marriages with us,[ and] give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you.

And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

All these[ are] the twelve tribes of Israel: and this[ is it] that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

Then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

And this[ is] the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and[ one] call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring[ it] to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they[ were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
