But he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully, and he has taken away your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

But Isaac said,“ Your brother came and tricked me. He took your blessing.”

But Isaac said,“ Your brother was here, and he tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.”

But he replied,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

And he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and has taken away your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”

And he said, Thy brother came with guile, and hath taken away thy blessing.

But he replied,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.

But Isaac replied,“ Your brother came in here deceitfully and took away your blessing.”

He said,“ Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”

that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.

Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?

But if through my lie God’s truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?And why not do evil that good may come?— as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me; now sit up and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.”But Isaac said to his son,“ How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?” He answered,“ Because the Lord your God granted me success.”Then Isaac said to Jacob,“ Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, to know whether you are really my son Esau or not.”So Jacob went near to Isaac his father, who felt him and said,“ The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau’s hands. So he blessed him.

Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all his worshipers and all his priests. Let none be missing, for I have a great sacrifice to offer to Baal. Whoever is missing shall not live.” But Jehu did it with cunning in order to destroy the worshipers of Baal.

Will you speak falsely for God and speak deceitfully for him?

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
