看哪，人卻歡喜快樂，宰牛殺羊，吃肉喝酒：「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。」

我就稱讚快樂，原來人在日光之下，最大的福氣莫過於吃喝快樂；他在日光之下，神賜他一生的日子，要從勞碌中享受所得。

耶和華對我說：「把它丟給窰戶。那是他們對我所估定的好價錢！」我就取這三十塊銀錢，在耶和華的殿中將它丟給窰戶。

『要觀看，你們這些藐視的人，要驚訝，要滅亡，因為在你們的日子，我行一件事，雖有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。』」

免得有人淫亂，或不敬虔如以掃，他因一點點食物把自己長子的名分賣了。後來你們知道，他想要承受父親的祝福，竟被拒絕，雖然流着淚苦求，卻得不着門路使他父親回心轉意。

他們又藐視那美地，不信他的話，

說：「我把他交給你們，你們願意給我多少錢？」他們給了他三十塊銀錢。

因為，我屢次告訴你們，現在又流淚告訴你們：許多人行事是基督十字架的仇敵。他們的結局就是滅亡。他們的神明是自己的肚腹；他們以自己的羞辱為光榮，專以地上的事為念。

從人的觀點看來，我當日在以弗所同野獸搏鬥，對我有甚麼益處呢？如果死人沒有復活，「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。」

那些人不理就走了，一個到自己田裏去，一個做買賣去。
