仆人对他们说：“耶和华既然使我道路亨通，你们就不要耽误我，请让我走，回我主人那里去吧！”

于是他们送他们的妹妹利百加和她的奶妈，同亚伯拉罕的仆人，以及随从他的人走了。

于是约瑟送他的兄弟们回去，对他们说：“你们不要在路上争吵。”

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯说：“让我跑去报信给王，耶和华已经为王伸冤，使他脱离仇敌的手了。”

不要说：为什么先前的日子强过现今的日子呢？你这样问不是出于智慧。

以撒送雅各走了，雅各就往巴旦‧亚兰去，到亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里，拉班是利百加的哥哥，利百加是雅各和以扫的母亲。以扫见以撒已经为雅各祝福，而且送他往巴旦‧亚兰去，在那里娶妻，并且见以撒祝福雅各的时候吩咐他说：“不要娶迦南的女子为妻”，

你看见办事殷勤的人吗？他必侍立在君王面前，不在平庸的人面前。

守望的人说：“我看前面那人的跑法，好像撒督的儿子亚希玛斯的跑法。”王说：“他是个好人，是来报好消息的。”亚希玛斯向王呼叫说：“平安了！”他就脸伏于地向王叩拜，说：“耶和华—你的上帝是应当称颂的，他已把那些举手攻击我主我王的人交出来了。”

鬼已从身上出去的那人恳求要和耶稣在一起，耶稣却打发他回去，说：“你回家去，传讲上帝为你做了多么大的事。”他就走遍全城，传扬耶稣为他做了多么大的事。
