Then the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord.He said,“ I praise the Lord, the God of my master Abraham. The Lord hasn’t stopped being kind and faithful to my master. The Lord has led me on this journey. He has brought me to the house of my master’s relatives.”

This God is our God for ever and ever. He will be our guide to the very end.

Abraham’s servant heard what they said. So he bowed down to the Lord with his face to the ground.

The Lord is the Holy One of Israel. He sets his people free. He says to them,“ I am the Lord your God. I teach you what is best for you. I direct you in the way you should go.

I will guide you and teach you the way you should go. I will give you good advice and watch over you with love.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.In all your ways obey him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight.

Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. Milkah had the eight sons by Abraham’s brother Nahor.

He led them straight to a city where they could make their homes.

Teach them his rules and instructions. Show them how to live and what to do.

I instruct you in the way of wisdom. I lead you along straight paths.

By the canal that flows toward Ahava, I announced a fast. I told the people not to eat any food. In that way, we made ourselves humble in God’s sight. We prayed that he would give us and our children a safe journey. We asked him to keep safe everything we owned.
