我們心裡覺得必死無疑，這使我們不倚靠自己，只倚靠使死人復活的上帝。祂曾救我們脫離死亡的威脅，將來還要救我們。我們深信祂必繼續救我們。

你們遇見的誘惑無非是人們常見的。上帝是信實的，祂絕不會讓你們遇見無法抵擋的誘惑，祂必為你們開一條出路，使你們經得住誘惑。

祭物和供品非你所悅，你開通了我的耳朵，燔祭和贖罪祭非你所要。於是我說：「看啊，我來了，正如經卷上有關我的記載。我的上帝啊，我樂意遵行你的旨意，我銘記你的律法。」

亞伯拉罕說：「孩子，上帝自己會預備獻燔祭的羊羔。」二人就繼續向前走。

不管你們向左還是向右，都會聽見背後有聲音說：「這是正路，踏上去吧！」

而是靠無瑕無疵的代罪羔羊——基督的寶血。基督是上帝在創世以前預先揀選的，卻在這末世為你們顯現。

你曾在異象中對你忠心的子民說：「我已把力量賜給一位勇士，已擢升我在民中揀選的人。我找到了我的僕人大衛，用我的聖油膏立他。

你們要把舊酵除掉，好成為真正無酵的新麵團，因為我們逾越節的羔羊——基督已經被獻為祭了。所以，我們不可帶著歹毒邪惡的舊酵守這逾越節，而要用真誠純潔的無酵餅。
