The LORD visited Sarah just as he had said he would and did for Sarah what he had promised.

Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised.

One of them said,“ I will surely return to you when the season comes round again, and your wife Sarah will have a son!”( Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, not far behind him.

Is anything impossible for the LORD? I will return to you when the season comes round again and Sarah will have a son.”

But one, the son by the slave woman, was born by natural descent, while the other, the son by the free woman, was born through the promise.

God said,“ No, Sarah your wife is going to bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm my covenant with him as a perpetual covenant for his descendants after him.

So the LORD graciously attended to Hannah, and she was able to conceive and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. The boy Samuel grew up at the LORD’s sanctuary.

So she decided to return home from the region of Moab, accompanied by her daughters-in-law, because while she was living in Moab she had heard that the LORD had shown concern for his people, reversing the famine by providing abundant crops.

in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the ages began.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The LORD’s words are absolutely reliable. They are as untainted as silver purified in a furnace on the ground, where it is thoroughly refined.

He is our father in the presence of God whom he believed– the God who makes the dead alive and summons the things that do not yet exist as though they already do.Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement,“ so will your descendants be.”Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead( because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.

I will bless her and will give you a son through her. I will bless her and she will become a mother of nations. Kings of countries will come from her!”

But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”

But you, brothers and sisters, are children of the promise like Isaac.

Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people! Pay attention to me, when you deliver,

They will demolish you– you and your children within your walls– and they will not leave within you one stone on top of another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”

and the people believed. When they heard that the LORD had attended to the Israelites and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed down close to the ground.

Then Joseph said to his brothers,“ I am about to die. But God will surely come to you and lead you up from this land to the land he swore on oath to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

“ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, because he has come to help and has redeemed his people.
