Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem? (niv)

Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. (niv)

But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out,“ O God, the God who gives breath to all living things, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?” (niv)

I am the same as you in God’s sight; I too am a piece of clay. (niv)

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. (niv)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. (niv)

a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, (niv)

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (niv)

how much more those who live in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who are crushed more readily than a moth! (niv)
