When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

But he hesitated. Because of the LORD’s compassion for him, the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters. They brought him out and left him outside the city.

祂曾對摩西說：「我要憐憫誰就憐憫誰，要恩待誰就恩待誰。」可見這並不在於人的意志和努力，而在於祂的憐憫。

上帝知道怎樣拯救敬虔的人脫離試煉，把不義的人拘禁在刑罰之下，等候審判的日子，

你們要稱謝耶和華，因為祂是美善的，祂的慈愛永遠長存。

因為你們的上帝耶和華充滿憐憫，祂不會拋棄你們，滅絕你們，也不會忘記祂與你們祖先所立的誓約。

若有人熱愛生命，渴望長壽和幸福，

但祂為了自己的名拯救了他們，以彰顯祂的大能。

藉著重生之洗和聖靈的更新拯救了我們，這並非因為我們有義行，而是因為祂的憐憫。

祂的奇妙作為令人無法忘懷。耶和華充滿憐憫和恩惠。

耶和華在摩西面前經過，並且宣告說：「我是耶和華，我是耶和華，是有憐憫和恩典的上帝，不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛，無比信實，

我們主耶穌基督的父上帝當受讚美！祂是仁慈的父和賜一切安慰的上帝。

「但那稅吏卻遠遠地站著，連頭也不敢抬起來，捶著胸說，『上帝啊，求你憐憫我這個罪人！』

但主啊，你是有憐憫和恩典的上帝，不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛，無比信實。

祂苦他們所苦，親自拯救他們。祂本著慈愛和憐憫救贖了他們，自古以來一直扶持、照顧他們。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因為祂是美善的；祂的慈愛永遠長存。

我毫不遲疑地遵守你的命令。

『耶和華不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛；祂赦免罪惡和過犯，但決不免除罪責，必向子孫追討父輩的罪債，直到三四代。』

要稱謝耶和華，因為祂是美善的，祂的慈愛永遠長存！

主啊，你良善仁慈，樂意赦免，以無限的慈愛待一切求告你的人。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因為祂是美善的，祂的慈愛永遠長存。

耶和華有憐憫和恩典，不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛。祂不永久責備人，也不永遠懷怒。祂沒有按我們的過犯對待我們，也沒有照我們的罪惡懲罰我們。

你們要讚美耶和華！要稱謝耶和華，因為祂是美善的，祂的慈愛永遠長存！

就是耶和華的慈愛永不終止，祂的憐憫永無窮盡。

如果不是差我來的父吸引人到我這裡來，沒有人能來。到我這裡來的，在末日，我要叫他復活。

然而上帝有豐富的憐憫，祂深愛我們，儘管我們死在過犯之中，祂仍然使我們和基督一同活了過來。你們得救是因為上帝的恩典。

耶和華憐愛敬畏祂的人，如同慈父憐愛自己的兒女。

有何神明像你一樣赦免罪惡，饒恕你倖存子民的過犯？你不會永遠發怒，因為你樂於施恩。你必再憐憫我們，將我們的罪惡踐踏在腳下，把我們的一切過犯拋進深海。

「然而，要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；無論借出什麼，都不要指望歸還。這樣，你們將有大賞賜，並且將成為至高者的兒子，因為祂以恩慈待那些忘恩負義和作惡的人。你們要憐憫人，像你們的天父憐憫人一樣。

約書亞對那兩個探子說：「你們到那個妓女家裡，照著你們向她起過的誓，把她和她的家人都帶出來。」

總之，上帝要憐憫誰，就憐憫誰；要叫誰頑固，就叫誰頑固。
