亚伯拉罕说：“主啊，虽然我渺小如灰尘，但我还要大胆地求问你，

亚伯拉罕回应说：“看哪，尽管我是尘土和灰烬，也容我斗胆向我主说，

亞伯拉罕說：「我雖然是灰塵，還敢對主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：『我雖是塵土爐灰，還敢對主說話。

亞伯拉罕回應說：「看哪，儘管我是塵土和灰燼，也容我斗膽向我主說，

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖為灰塵、敢告於主、

亞伯拉罕曰、吾雖若纖塵、而敢上告、

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖若灰塵、敢告主、

Then Abraham spoke up again:“ Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes,

Then Abraham spoke up again. He said,“ I have been very bold to speak to the Lord. After all, I’m only dust and ashes.

Abraham answered and said,“ Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes.

Then Abraham spoke again.“ Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes.

Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to my lord— even though I am dust and ashes—

And Abraham replied,“ Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am only dust and ashes.

Then Abraham answered and said,“ Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:

Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to the Lord— even though I am dust and ashes—

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which[ am but] dust and ashes:

Then Abraham asked,“ Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord( although I am but dust and ashes),

Abraham answered,“ See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes.

“ Woe to me!” I cried.“ I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” (niv)

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (niv)

The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. (niv)

and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. (niv)

how much more those who live in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who are crushed more readily than a moth! (niv)

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (niv)

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. (niv)

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (niv)

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said,“ Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” (niv)

He throws me into the mud, and I am reduced to dust and ashes. (niv)

Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”Abraham said,“ Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?” He said,“ For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.”Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered,“ For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” (niv)

what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? (niv)

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, (niv)

and prayed:“ I am too ashamed and disgraced, my God, to lift up my face to you, because our sins are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens. (niv)

Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? (niv)

Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” (niv)
