The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.

And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day.

亚伯兰就把帐篷迁移到希伯仑幔利的橡树那里居住，在那里为耶和华筑了一座祭坛。

有一个逃出来的人把这件事情告诉了希伯来人亚伯兰。那时，亚伯兰住在亚摩利人幔利的橡树那里。幔利是以实各和亚乃的兄弟，三人都是亚伯兰的盟友。

对约瑟说：“全能的上帝曾经在迦南的路斯向我显现，赐福给我。

耶和华向以撒显现说：“不要下埃及去，要住在我指示你住的地方。

司提凡说：“各位父老兄弟，请听我说！我们的祖先亚伯拉罕还未迁到哈兰之前，住在美索不达米亚，荣耀的上帝向他显现，说，

上帝说完以后，便离开亚伯拉罕上升而去。

当天晚上，上帝向所罗门显现，问他：“你要我给你什么？只管求吧。”

亚伯兰九十九岁那年，耶和华向他显现说：“我是全能的上帝。你要遵行我的旨意，做纯全无过的人。我要与你立约，我要使你子孙极其兴旺。”亚伯兰就俯伏在地，上帝又对他说：

这些事以后，耶和华在异象中对亚伯兰说：“亚伯兰，你不用害怕，我是你的盾牌，我要大大赏赐你。”

耶和华向亚伯兰显现，对他说：“我要把这片土地赐给你的后裔。”亚伯兰就在那里为向他显现的耶和华筑了一座坛。

摩西回答说：“他们不会相信我或听我的话，他们会说，‘耶和华根本没有向你显现。’”
