But God said,“ No, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

上帝说：“不！你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚立我的约，成为他后裔永远的约。

神说：“不！你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚立我的约，成为他后裔永远的约。

上帝说：“不，你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他取名叫以撒，我必向他和他的后代坚守我的约，直到永远。

神说：“你的妻子撒拉，真的要为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒，我要与他坚立我的约，作他后裔的永约。

神说：“不，你的妻子撒拉将为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名为以撒。我要与他确立我的约，作为他后裔永远的约。

神說：「不，你的妻子撒拉將為你生一個兒子，你要給他起名為以撒。我要與他確立我的約，作為他後裔永遠的約。

上帝曰、否、爾妻撒拉必生子、可名以撒、我將與彼立約、為其後裔之永約、

上帝曰、爾妻撒拉、果必生子、命名以撒、我將與以撒、及其後裔、立永約。

天主曰、爾妻撒拉果必生子、可命名以撒、我將與彼及其後裔立我約、以為永約、

Then God said,“ Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

Then God said,“ Yes, I will bless Ishmael. But your wife Sarah will have a son by you. And you will name him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him. That covenant will last forever. It will be for Isaac and his family after him.

God said,“ No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

But God replied,“ No— Sarah, your wife, will give birth to a son for you. You will name him Isaac, and I will confirm my covenant with him and his descendants as an everlasting covenant.

But God said,“ No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm my covenant with him as a permanent covenant for his future offspring.

Then God said:“ No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

And God said, Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

But God said,“ No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his future offspring.

And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant,[ and] with his seed after him.

God said,“ No, Sarah your wife is going to bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm my covenant with him as a perpetual covenant for his descendants after him.

God said,“ No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel;nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but:“ through Isaac your descendants shall be named.”That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants.For this is the word of promise:“ At this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”

But the angel said to him,“ Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John.You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice over his birth.For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother’s womb.And he will turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God.And it is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers back to their children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”Zechariah said to the angel,“ How will I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in her years.”The angel answered and said to him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their proper time.”

So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.Abraham named his son who was born to him, the son whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.

And you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.But as at that time the son who was born according to the flesh persecuted the one who was born according to the Spirit, so it is even now.But what does the Scripture say?“ Drive out the slave woman and her son, For the son of the slave woman shall not be an heir with the son of the free woman.”So then, brothers and sisters, we are not children of a slave woman, but of the free woman.

Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

Then he said,“ At this season next year, you are going to embrace a son.” And she said,“ No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your servant.”Now the woman conceived and gave birth to a son at that season the next year, as Elisha had told her.

He said,“ I will certainly return to you at this time next year; and behold, your wife Sarah will have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him.Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing.So Sarah laughed to herself, saying,“ After I have become old, am I to have pleasure, my lord being old also?”But the Lord said to Abraham,“ Why did Sarah laugh, saying,‘ Shall I actually give birth to a child, when I am so old?’Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

Live for a time in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

But I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year.”
