You must circumcise the flesh of your foreskins. This will be a reminder of the covenant between me and you.

You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you.

David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth son of Saul with this demand:“ Give me my wife Michal whom I acquired for a hundred Philistine foreskins.”

But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off the foreskin of her son and touched it to Moses’ feet, and said,“ Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”

Therefore, cleanse your heart and stop being so stubborn!
