夏甲就称那对她说话的耶和华为“看顾人的神”。因而说：“在这里我也看见那看顾我的吗？”

夏甲就称那向她说话的耶和华为“你是看见的上帝”，因为她说：“他看见了我之后，我还能在这里看见他吗？”

于是，夏甲给那对她说话的耶和华，起名叫“你是看顾人的神”，因为她说：“在这里我不是也看见了那位看顾人的吗？”

夏甲就称那对她说话的耶和华为“你是看顾的神”，因为她说：“我竟然在这里见到了看顾我的那一位！”

夏甲就稱那對她說話的耶和華為「看顧人的神」。因而說：「在這裏我也看見那看顧我的嗎？」

夏甲就稱那向她說話的耶和華為「你是看見的上帝」，因為她說：「他看見了我之後，我還能在這裏看見他嗎？」

於是，夏甲給那對她說話的耶和華，起名叫“你是看顧人的神”，因為她說：“在這裡我不是也看見了那位看顧人的嗎？”

於是夏甲稱那對她說話的永恆主叫「你是看見萬事的上帝」，因為她說：『連在這裏我也居然看見那看着我的麼？』

夏甲就稱那對她說話的耶和華為「你是看顧的神」，因為她說：「我竟然在這裡見到了看顧我的那一位！」

夏甲蒙耶和華諭、則稱其名曰監人之上帝、蓋曰、我豈於此、瞻仰夫監我者乎、

夏甲既蒙耶和華所諭、則稱其名曰、爾乃監我之上帝。蓋曰、我非於此、以景仰夫監我者乎、

夏甲蒙主諭示、即籲主名曰、爾乃俯鑒我之天主、蓋曰、主俯鑒我後、得瞻仰主、

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her:“ You are the God who sees me,” for she said,“ I have now seen the One who sees me.”

So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“ You are a God of seeing,” for she said,“ Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.”

Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said,“ You are the God who sees me.” She also said,“ Have I truly seen the One who sees me?”

So she named the LORD who spoke to her:“ You are El-roi,” for she said,“ In this place, have I actually seen the one who sees me?”

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“ You are a God who sees me”; for she said,“ Have I even seen Him here and lived after He saw me?”

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said,“ Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”

And she called the name of Jehovah that spake unto her, Thou art a God that seeth: for she said, Have I even here looked after him that seeth me?

So she called the Lord who spoke to her: The God Who Sees, for she said,“ In this place, have I actually seen the One who sees me?”

And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

So Hagar named the LORD who spoke to her,“ You are the God who sees me,” for she said,“ Here I have seen one who sees me!”

She called the name of Yahweh who spoke to her,“ You are a God who sees,” for she said,“ Have I even stayed alive after seeing him?”

雅各便给那地方起名叫毗努伊勒，意思说：“我面对面见了神，我的性命仍得保全。”

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；你也深知我一切所行的。耶和华啊，我舌头上的话，你没有一句不知道的。你在我前后环绕我，按手在我身上。这样的知识奇妙，是我不能测的，至高，是我不能及的。我往哪里去躲避你的灵？我往哪里逃、躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那里；我若在阴间下榻，你也在那里。我若展开清晨的翅膀，飞到海极居住，就是在那里，你的手必引导我；你的右手也必扶持我。我若说：“黑暗必定遮蔽我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，黑暗也不能遮蔽我，使你不见，黑夜却如白昼发亮。黑暗和光明，在你看都是一样。

因为，人所行的道都在耶和华眼前；他也修平人一切的路。

耶和华的使者在旷野书珥路上的水泉旁遇见她，

耶和华的眼目无处不在；恶人善人，他都鉴察。

耶和华的使者对她说：“你回到你主母那里，服在她手下”；又说：“我必使你的后裔极其繁多，甚至不可胜数”；

若不是我父亲以撒所敬畏的神，就是亚伯拉罕的神与我同在，你如今必定打发我空手而去。神看见我的苦情和我的劳碌，就在昨夜责备你。”

就惧怕，说：“这地方何等可畏！这不是别的，乃是神的殿，也是天的门。”

于是基甸在那里为耶和华筑了一座坛，起名叫“耶和华沙龙”。这坛在亚比以谢族的俄弗拉直到如今。

亚伯拉罕给那地方起名叫“耶和华以勒”，直到今日人还说：“在耶和华的山上必有预备。”

耶和华在云中降临，和摩西一同站在那里，宣告耶和华的名。耶和华在他面前宣告说：“耶和华，耶和华，是有怜悯有恩典的神，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱和诚实，为千万人存留慈爱，赦免罪孽、过犯，和罪恶，万不以有罪的为无罪，必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代。”

摩西说：“求你显出你的荣耀给我看。”耶和华说：“我要显我一切的恩慈，在你面前经过，宣告我的名。我要恩待谁就恩待谁；要怜悯谁就怜悯谁”；又说：“你不能看见我的面，因为人见我的面不能存活。”耶和华说：“看哪，在我这里有地方，你要站在磐石上。我的荣耀经过的时候，我必将你放在磐石穴中，用我的手遮掩你，等我过去，然后我要将我的手收回，你就得见我的背，却不得见我的面。”
