Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against Jehovah exceedingly.

Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.

The people of Sodom were evil. They were sinning greatly against the Lord.

Now the men of Sodom were wicked, great sinners against the Lord.

But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the Lord.

but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, self- willed, they tremble not to rail at dignities:

And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, having made them an example unto those that should live ungodly;and delivered righteous Lot, sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked( for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds):

Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, having in like manner with these given themselves over to fornication and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah.

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory.The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have done evil unto themselves.

and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.

And thine elder sister is Samaria, that dwelleth at thy left hand, she and her daughters; and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.Yet hast thou not walked in their ways, nor done after their abominations; but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast more corrupt than they in all thy ways.As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fulness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;and they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men that came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.And Lot went out unto them to the door, and shut the door after him.And he said, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly.Behold now, I have two daughters that have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing, forasmuch as they are come under the shadow of my roof.And they said, Stand back. And they said, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and drew near to break the door.But the men put forth their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah: wherefore it is said, Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Jehovah.

And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt go down unto Hades: for if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in thee, it would have remained until this day.But I say unto you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

Except Jehovah of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

and Jehovah sent thee on a journey, and said, Go, and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

And he made his son to pass through the fire, and practised augury, and used enchantments, and dealt with them that had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.

So they called a second time the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is a sinner.

And in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.

We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.

And Er, Judah’s first- born, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah; and Jehovah slew him.

And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
