Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot( the son of Haran), and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram’s wife, and with them he set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. When they came to Haran, they settled there.

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.

Terah left Ur in Babylon. He took with him his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran. Terah also took his daughter- in- law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram. All of them left together to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they made their home there.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter in law Sarai( his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot( his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

So he replied,“ Brothers and fathers, listen to me. The God of glory appeared to our forefather Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he settled in Haran,and said to him,‘ Go out from your country and from your relatives, and come to the land I will show you.’Then he went out from the country of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After his father died, God made him move to this country where you now live.

So Abram left, just as the LORD had told him to do, and Lot went with him.( Now Abram was 75 years old when he departed from Haran.)

The LORD said to him,“ I am the LORD who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.”

Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed with all kinds of gifts from his master at his disposal. He journeyed to the region of Aram Naharaim and the city of Nahor.

The lifetime of Terah was 205 years, and he died in Haran.Now the LORD said to Abram,“ Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father’s household to the land that I will show you.

Joshua told all the people,“ Here is what the LORD God of Israel says:‘ In the distant past your ancestors lived beyond the Euphrates River, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor. They worshiped other gods,but I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates and brought him into the entire land of Canaan. I made his descendants numerous; I gave him Isaac,

and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar as far as Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

Now then, my son, do what I say. Run away immediately to my brother Laban in Haran.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place he would later receive as an inheritance, and he went out without understanding where he was going.

Jacob asked them,“ My brothers, where are you from?” They replied,“ We’re from Haran.”So he said to them,“ Do you know Laban, the grandson of Nahor?”“ We know him,” they said.

When Terah had lived 70 years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.Haran died in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans, while his father Terah was still alive.

Before he had finished praying, there came Rebekah with her water jug on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milcah( Milcah was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor).
