God blessed them and said to them,“ Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

創造諸天的耶和華——他是神，是塑造大地、造成大地的那一位；他親自堅立了大地；他創造大地不是要讓它空虛，他塑造大地是要讓人居住——耶和華如此說：「我是耶和華，別無其二。

神祝福牠們說：「要繁衍增多，讓生物充滿海洋，讓飛鳥在大地上增多。」

如果不是耶和華建造房屋，建造的人就枉然勞苦；如果不是耶和華看守城池，看守的人就枉然警醒。你們早早起來，遲遲安歇，吃勞苦得來的飯，也是枉然；要知道，耶和華必使他所愛的人安睡。看哪，兒女是耶和華所賜的繼業，腹中的胎兒就是賞報！年輕時所生的兒女，好像勇士手中的箭矢。箭袋滿滿的人，是蒙福的！他們即使在城門口與仇敵說話，也不致蒙羞。

你要帶出所有與你在一起的活物，就是一切有血肉的，包括飛鳥、牲畜和在地上活動的各樣動物，好讓牠們充滿大地，繁衍增多。」

你的妻子在你的內室，如同多結果實的葡萄樹；你的兒女圍繞你的桌子，如同橄欖樹的幼苗。看哪，敬畏耶和華的人必蒙這樣的祝福！

我必定大大祝福你，使你的後裔大大增多，如同天上的星辰、海邊的沙粒；你的後裔必占有仇敵的城門。地上萬國都必因你的後裔而蒙福，因為你聽從了我的話。」

神祝福他們，他們就大大增多；他也使他們的牲畜沒有減少。

我要祝福她，也要藉著她賜給你一個兒子。我要祝福她，她將成為多國之母，萬族的君王要從她而出。」

至於以實瑪利，我也聽允你了，看哪，我也要祝福他！我要使他繁衍，大大增多。他將生十二個族長，我必使他成為一個大國。

那天夜裡，耶和華向他顯現，說：「我是你父親亞伯拉罕的神；你不要害怕，因為我與你同在。我要因我僕人亞伯拉罕的緣故祝福你，並使你的後裔增多。」

出於你父親的神，因他幫助你。全能者必把天上來的福、地下深淵蘊藏著的福、哺乳和生育的福，都賜給你。

以掃舉目，看見女人們和孩子們，就說：「這些與你在一起的是誰呢？」雅各說：「這些孩子是神施恩賜給你僕人的。」

你要寄居在這地，我必與你同在，並祝福你，因為我必把所有這些地都賜給你和你的後裔；我必確立我向你父親亞伯拉罕所起的誓。我必使你的後裔增多，如同天上的星辰，我必把所有這些地都賜給你的後裔；地上萬國都必因你的後裔而蒙福，

他們祝福莉百加，對她說：「我們的妹妹啊，願你成為千萬人的母親，願你的後裔占有仇敵的城門！」

願諸天和大地、海洋和其中游動的一切，都讚美他！

他們禁止結婚，要求遠避某些食物，就是神所創造的，好讓信徒和了解真理的人以感謝的心享用。
