彼受割而不守法、欲因爾而誇、故使爾受割、

彼受割禮、而不守律法、欲爾守割禮、致彼因爾之外貌儀文、有所可誇、

蓋若輩雖受割禮、自身亦何嘗遵守禮法。其所以欲爾同受割禮者、惟欲借爾之形體、為彼炫耀之資耳。

Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.

Even those who are circumcised don’t obey the law. But they want you to be circumcised. Then they can brag about what has been done to your body.

你們這樣自誇是不好的。你們不知道一點麵酵能使全團麵發起來嗎？

其實我們這些靠神的靈來敬拜，在基督耶穌裡誇口而不倚靠肉體的人，才是受割禮的，

你身為猶太人，倚靠律法，仗著神誇口，而且明白他的旨意，又從律法得了教導，能夠辨別甚麼是好的，自信是瞎子的嚮導，在黑暗中的人的光，愚昧人的導師，小孩子的教師，在律法上得了整套的知識和真理；你既然教導別人，難道不教導自己嗎？你傳講不可偷竊，自己卻偷竊嗎？你說不可姦淫，自己卻姦淫嗎？你憎惡偶像，自己卻劫掠廟宇嗎？你既然以律法誇口，自己卻因犯律法而羞辱神嗎？正如經上所說的：“神的名，因你們的緣故在列邦中被褻瀆。”你若遵行律法，割禮固然有益處；但你若是犯律法的，你的割禮就不是割禮了。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們走遍海洋陸地，要使一個人入教；當他入了教，你們卻使他淪為地獄之子，比你們更甚。

所以，誰都不可拿人來誇耀，因為一切都是你們的。

所以凡他們吩咐你們的，你們都要遵行和謹守，但不可效法他們的行為，因為他們只會說而不去作。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們把薄荷、茴香、芹菜，獻上十分之一，卻忽略律法上更重要的，就如正義、憐憫和信實；這些更重要的是你們應當作的，但其他的也不可忽略。

他們應許給人自由，自己卻作了敗壞的奴僕；因為人給誰制伏了，就作誰的奴僕。

那又怎麼樣呢？我們比他們強嗎？絕不是的。因為我們已經控訴過，無論是猶太人或是希臘人，都在罪惡之下，正如經上所說：“沒有義人，連一個也沒有，沒有明白的，沒有尋求神的；人人都偏離了正道，一同變成污穢；沒有行善的，連一個也沒有。他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓，他們用舌頭弄詭詐，他們嘴裡有虺蛇的毒，滿口是咒罵和惡毒；為了殺人流血，他們的腳步飛快，在經過的路上留下毀滅和悲慘。和睦之道，他們不曉得，他們的眼中也不怕神。”然而我們曉得，凡律法所說的，都是對在律法之下的人說的，好讓每一個人都沒有話可講，使全世界的人都伏在神的審判之下。

既然有許多人按著世俗的標準誇口，我也要誇口。
