So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the rudiments of the world:

我們也是這樣：我們做孩童時，就是在世俗所信之「宇宙星質之靈」底下做奴僕。

我們也是這樣：我們還是小孩子的時候，在世界的原則下受奴役。

我儕童蒙時、亦役於斯世之小學、

我儕當未成人、亦為此世小學束縛、

我儕亦然、當未成人時、被此世賤質賤質或作虛文束縛、

吾人亦然、方吾人之尚屬幼稚、亦受制於世俗之蒙學；

So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world.

It is the same with us. When we were children, we were slaves to the basic spiritual powers of the world.

In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world.

And that’s the way it was with us before Christ came. We were like children; we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world.

In the same way we also, when we were children, were in slavery under the elements of the world.

So we too, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elementary principles of the world.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world.

So also we, when we were minors, were enslaved under the basic forces of the world.

So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental principles of the world.

Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ:

If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances,

but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?

and that because of the false brethren privily brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

Now therefore why make ye trial of God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the freewoman.For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.So that the law is become our tutor to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.But now that faith is come, we are no longer under a tutor.

who hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life:

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children.
