He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.

until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest.

who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony in its own times,

I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;

They of the circumcision who believed were amazed, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was also poured out on the Gentiles.For they heard them speaking in other languages and magnifying God. Then Peter answered,“ Can anyone forbid these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just like us.”

He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?Even as Abraham“ believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying,“ In you all the nations will be blessed.”So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

The angel said to them,“ Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them.

Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, I blessed him, and made him many.For Yahweh has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Yahweh. Joy and gladness will be found in them, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Indeed, he says,“ It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.

Being assembled together with them, he commanded them,“ Don’t depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.For John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

For what does the Scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,“ Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.How then was it counted? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.He is the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had in uncircumcision.For the promise to Abraham and to his offspring that he should be heir of the world wasn’t through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect.For the law produces wrath, for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, to the end that the promise may be sure to all the offspring, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.As it is written,“ I have made you a father of many nations.” This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;

Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

These are those who cause divisions and are sensual, not having the Spirit.But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

I won’t hide my face from them any more; for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say,“ To descendants”, as of many, but as of one,“ To your offspring”, which is Christ.

in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning.I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said,‘ John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit.’

All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”

who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.

In him you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation— in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

“ It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit.

“ But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham my friend,

You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”

I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who treats you with contempt. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

Yahweh has made his holy arm bare in the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying,“ Abba, Father!”

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

So they will fear Yahweh’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which Yahweh’s breath drives.“ A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says Yahweh.“ As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yahweh.“ My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says Yahweh,“ from now on and forever.”

Behold, I send out the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.For the Scripture says,“ Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.For,“ Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
