and when they perceived the grace that was given unto me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship, that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision;

公認是柱石的雅各、磯法和約翰，既然明白了神所賜給我的恩典，就向巴拿巴和我伸出右手行契合之禮，要我們往外邦人那裡去，而他們往受割禮的人那裡去；

且雅各磯法約翰、人視為柱石者、因知賜我之恩、則施相交之右手於我及巴拿巴、俾往異邦、而彼往受割者、

彼三人素有名譽、為教之柱石、知主賜我斯恩、故施其右手、交我及巴拿巴、使我往教異邦人、而彼往教受割者、

雅各磯法約翰、人所視為教之柱者、既知主賜我此恩、則施右手、交我及巴拿巴、使我與巴拿巴往教異邦人、而彼往教受割禮者、

彼等既見予所受聖寵之不虛、於是號稱教會柱石之雅各伯基法及若望、相率與予及巴拿巴殷勤握手、以表心契；我往外邦、而彼等則傳道於受割禮者。

James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.

James, Peter and John are respected as pillars in the church. They recognized the special grace given to me. So they shook my hand and the hand of Barnabas. They wanted to show they accepted us. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles. They would go to the Jews.

and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.

When James, Cephas, and John— those recognized as pillars— acknowledged the grace that had been given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to me and Barnabas, agreeing that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

And I went up by revelation; and I laid before them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles but privately before them who were of repute, lest by any means I should be running, or had run, in vain.

through whom we received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name’s sake;

And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

But when Cephas came to Antioch, I resisted him to the face, because he stood condemned.For before that certain came from James, he ate with the Gentiles; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing them that were of the circumcision.And the rest of the Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that even Barnabas was carried away with their dissimulation.But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;

The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.

but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Brethren, hearken unto me:

according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;if any man speaketh, speaking as it were oracles of God; if any man ministereth, ministering as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

And when there had been much questioning, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Brethren, ye know that a good while ago God made choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:and they wrote thus by them, The apostles and the elders, brethren, unto the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greeting:Forasmuch as we have heard that certain who went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls; to whom we gave no commandment;it seemed good unto us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves also shall tell you the same things by word of mouth.For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:that ye abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which if ye keep yourselves, it shall be well with you. Fare ye well.So they, when they were dismissed, came down to Antioch; and having gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle.

beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

whereunto I labor also, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ:

And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas( which is, being interpreted, Son of exhortation), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,

But from those who were reputed to be somewhat( whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth not man’s person)— they, I say, who were of repute imparted nothing to me:but contrariwise, when they saw that I had been intrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, even as Peter with the gospel of the circumcision

being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;

But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
