这都是因着那给你们存在天上的盼望，它就是你们从前所听见真理的道，就是福音；

我说这话，免得有人用花言巧语迷惑你们。虽然我身体不在你们那里，心却与你们同在，很高兴见你们循规蹈矩，对基督的信心也坚固。既然你们接受了主基督耶稣，就要靠着他而生活，照着你们所领受的教导，在他里面生根建造，信心坚固，充满着感谢的心。你们要谨慎，免得有人用他的哲学和虚空的废话，不照着基督，而是照人间的传统和世上粗浅的学说，把你们掳去。

在基督里你们听见真理的道，就是那使你们得救的福音，你们也信了他，就受了所应许的圣灵为印记。

保罗和巴拿巴跟他们发生了激烈的争执和辩论；大家就决定指派保罗、巴拿巴和本会的几个人，为所辩论的事上耶路撒冷去见使徒和长老。

为此，我们也不断地感谢神，因为你们听见我们所传神的道的时候，你们领受了，不以为这是人的道，而以为这确实是神的道，而且在你们信主的人当中运行着。

亲爱的，我一直很迫切地想要写信给你们，论到我们同享的救恩，但我觉得有必要现在就写信劝你们，要为从前一次交付给圣徒的真道竭力奋斗。
