For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.

公认是柱石的雅各、矶法和约翰，既然明白了神所赐给我的恩典，就向巴拿巴和我伸出右手行契合之礼，要我们往外邦人那里去，而他们往受割礼的人那里去；

这奥秘就是：外邦人在基督耶稣里，藉着福音，成为共同的继承人，同属一体、同蒙应许。

彼得坐在外面的院子里，有一个女仆过来对他说：“你也与那个加利利人耶稣是一伙的。”彼得却在众人面前否认说：“我不知道你在说什么。”他出去到门口，另有一个女仆看见他，对那里的人说：“这个人与拿撒勒人耶稣是一伙的。”彼得又起誓否认说：“我不认识那个人！”过了一会儿，旁边站着的人过来对彼得说：“你真的也是与他们一伙的，因为连你的口音也把你暴露了。”彼得就开始赌咒并起誓说：“我不认识那个人！”立时，鸡就叫了。彼得想起耶稣说过的话：“鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我”，就到外面去，痛哭起来。

由此可见，你们不再是外人，或寄居的；你们是圣徒的同国之民，是神家里的人，并且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶稣自己为房角石。在基督耶稣里，全部建筑互相连接，渐渐成为在主里的圣殿；在他里面，你们也一同被建造，藉着圣灵成为神居住的地方。

对人的惧怕，会成为陷阱；依靠耶和华的，安稳在高处。

连一切恶的样式都要远避。

废除了谕令中诫命的律法，为了把两者在他自己里面造成一个新人，缔造和平。

第二天，保罗与我们一起去探望雅各，所有的长老也都来了。保罗问候他们后，一一述说神藉着他的服事，在外邦人中所做的事。他们听了就不住地荣耀神，又对保罗说：“弟兄，你看犹太人中信主的人有多少万，而且他们都是对律法热心的人。他们听到有关你的事，说你教导所有在外邦人中的犹太人离道反教、背弃摩西，叫他们不要给孩子行割礼，也不要按规矩行事。他们一定会听到你来这里了。那么该怎么办呢？你就照我们告诉你的去做吧。我们这里有四个人，他们都许过愿。你带他们去，与他们一起行洁净礼，并且替他们付钱，好让他们剃掉头发。这样，大家就会知道有关你的传闻不是真的，而且你自己也是照着规矩行事、遵守律法的。至于已经相信的外邦人，我们照着决定写了信，要他们远避祭过偶像的食物，远避血和勒死的动物，远避淫乱。”

他们说：‘你就站在那里，不要接近我，因为我比你圣洁。’这些就是我鼻孔中的烟，是终日燃烧的火。

你究竟害怕谁、畏惧谁，以致说谎、不记念我，也不把我放在心上呢？难道我长久以来不是一直静默吗？难道你们因此就不敬畏我了吗？
