Leviticus 22:2-3
“ Tell Aaron and his sons that they must deal respectfully with the holy offerings of the Israelites, which they consecrate to me, so that they do not profane my holy name. I am the LORD.Say to them,‘ Throughout your generations, if any man from all your descendants approaches the holy offerings which the Israelites consecrate to the LORD while he is impure, that person must be cut off from before me. I am the LORD.

Leviticus 21:6-8
“‘ They must be holy to their God, and they must not profane the name of their God, because they are the ones who present the LORD’s gifts, the food of their God. Therefore they must be holy.They must not take a wife defiled by prostitution, nor are they to take a wife divorced from her husband, for the priest is holy to his God.You must sanctify him because he presents the food of your God. He must be holy to you because I, the LORD who sanctifies you all, am holy.

2 Chronicles 24 14
When they were finished, they brought the rest of the silver to the king and Jehoiada. They used it to make items for the LORD’s temple, including items used in the temple service and for burnt sacrifices, pans, and various other gold and silver items. Throughout Jehoiada’s lifetime, burnt sacrifices were offered regularly in the LORD’s temple.

Numbers 7:84-88
This was the dedication for the altar from the leaders of Israel, when it was anointed: twelve silver platters, twelve silver sprinkling bowls, and twelve gold pans.Each silver platter weighed 130 shekels, and each silver sprinkling bowl weighed 70 shekels. All the silver of the vessels weighed 2,400 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.The twelve gold pans full of incense weighed 10 shekels each, according to the sanctuary shekel; all the gold of the pans weighed 120 shekels.All the animals for the burnt offering were 12 young bulls, 12 rams, 12 male lambs in their first year, with their grain offering, and 12 male goats for a purification offering.All the animals for the sacrifice for the peace offering were 24 young bulls, 60 rams, 60 male goats, and 60 lambs in their first year. These were the dedication offerings for the altar after it was anointed.

1 Chronicles 23 28
Their job was to help Aaron’s descendants in the service of the LORD’s temple. They were to take care of the courtyards, the rooms, ceremonial purification of all holy items, and other jobs related to the service of God’s temple.

Numbers 4:4-15
This is the service of the Kohathites in the tent of meeting, relating to the most holy things.When it is time for the camp to journey, Aaron and his sons must come and take down the screening curtain and cover the ark of the testimony with it.Then they must put over it a covering of fine leather and spread over that a cloth entirely of blue, and then they must insert its poles.“ On the table of the presence they must spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the pans, the bowls, and the pitchers for pouring, and the Bread of the Presence must be on it continually.They must spread over them a scarlet cloth, and cover the same with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.“ They must take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand of the light, with its lamps, its wick-trimmers, its trays, and all its oil vessels, with which they service it.Then they must put it with all its utensils in a covering of fine leather, and put it on a carrying beam.“ They must spread a blue cloth on the gold altar, and cover it with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.Then they must take all the utensils of the service, with which they serve in the sanctuary, put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of fine leather, and put them on a carrying beam.Also, they must take away the ashes from the altar and spread a purple cloth over it.Then they must place on it all its implements with which they serve there– the trays, the meat forks, the shovels, the basins, and all the utensils of the altar– and they must spread on it a covering of fine leather, and then insert its poles.“ When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is ready to journey, then the Kohathites will come to carry them; but they must not touch any holy thing, or they will die. These are the responsibilities of the Kohathites with the tent of meeting.

Ezra 1:7-11
Then King Cyrus brought out the vessels of the LORD’s temple which Nebuchadnezzar had brought from Jerusalem and had displayed in the temple of his gods.King Cyrus of Persia entrusted them to Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar the leader of the Judahite exiles.The inventory of these items was as follows: 30 gold basins, 1,000 silver basins, 29 silver utensils,30 gold bowls, 410 other silver bowls, and 1,000 other vessels.All these gold and silver vessels totaled 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought them all along when the captives were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.

but in order that they will live and not die when they approach the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons will go in and appoint each man to his service and his responsibility.But the Kohathites are not to go in to watch while the holy things are being covered, or they will die.”

Solomon also made all these items for the LORD’s temple: the gold altar, the gold table on which was kept the Bread of the Presence,the pure gold lampstands at the entrance to the inner sanctuary( five on the right and five on the left), the gold flower-shaped ornaments, lamps, and tongs,the pure gold bowls, trimming shears, basins, pans, and censers, and the gold door sockets for the inner sanctuary( the most holy place) and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.When King Solomon finished constructing the LORD’s temple, he put the holy items that belonged to his father David( the silver, gold, and other articles) in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple.
