尼布甲尼撒曾使他指着神起誓，他却背叛，强项硬心，不归服耶和华以色列的神。

请王考察先王的实录，必在其上查知这城是反叛的城，与列王和各省有害；自古以来，其中常有悖逆的事，因此这城曾被拆毁。

耶路撒冷啊！耶路撒冷啊！你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多次愿意聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下；只是你们不愿意。

就告他说：“我们见这人诱惑国民，禁止纳税给凯撒，并说自己是基督，是王。”彼拉多问耶稣说：“你是犹太人的王吗？”耶稣回答说：“你说的是。”彼拉多对祭司长和众人说：“我查不出这人有什么罪来。”但他们越发极力地说：“他煽惑百姓，在犹太遍地传道，从加利利起，直到这里了。”

耶和华本为大！在我们神的城中，在他的圣山上，该受大赞美。锡安山，大君王的城，在北面居高华美，为全地所喜悦。

各样的恶事要禁戒不做。

因此耶和华的怒气在耶路撒冷和犹大发作，以致将人民从自己的面前赶出。

你们为主的缘故，要顺服人的一切制度，或是在上的君王，或是君王所派罚恶赏善的臣宰。因为神的旨意原是要你们行善，可以堵住那糊涂无知人的口。

你说有打仗的计谋和能力，我看不过是虚话。你到底倚靠谁才背叛我呢？

他们对我说：“那些被掳归回剩下的人在犹大省遭大难，受凌辱；并且耶路撒冷的城墙拆毁，城门被火焚烧。”

“你对那悖逆之家说：你们不知道这些事是什么意思吗？你要告诉他们说，巴比伦王曾到耶路撒冷，将其中的君王和首领带到巴比伦自己那里去。从以色列的宗室中取一人与他立约，使他发誓，并将国中有势力的人掳去，使国低微不能自强，惟因守盟约得以存立。他却背叛巴比伦王，打发使者往埃及去，要他们给他马匹和多民。他岂能亨通呢？行这样事的人岂能逃脱呢？他背约岂能逃脱呢？他轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约。主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在立他作王、巴比伦王的京都。敌人筑垒造台，与他打仗的时候，为要剪除多人，法老虽领大军队和大群众，还是不能帮助他。他轻看誓言，背弃盟约，已经投降，却又做这一切的事，他必不能逃脱。”所以主耶和华如此说：“我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看指我所起的誓，背弃指我所立的约，我必要使这罪归在他头上。我必将我的网撒在他身上，他必在我的网罗中缠住。我必带他到巴比伦，并要在那里因他干犯我的罪刑罚他。他的一切军队，凡逃跑的，都必倒在刀下；所剩下的，也必分散四方。你们就知道说这话的是我耶和华。”

我已命人考查，得知此城古来果然背叛列王，其中常有反叛悖逆的事。

你当知道，当明白，从出令重新建造耶路撒冷，直到有受膏君的时候，必有七个七和六十二个七。正在艰难的时候，耶路撒冷城连街带濠都必重新建造。

我们看这个人，如同瘟疫一般，是鼓动普天下众犹太人生乱的，又是拿撒勒教党里的一个头目，

可叹，忠信的城变为妓女！从前充满了公平，公义居在其中，现今却有凶手居住。你的银子变为渣滓；你的酒用水搀兑。你的官长居心悖逆，与盗贼作伴，各都喜爱贿赂，追求赃私。他们不为孤儿伸冤；寡妇的案件也不得呈到他们面前。

约雅敬年间，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒上到犹大；约雅敬服侍他三年，然后背叛他。
