Then they gave money to the masons and carpenters, and gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so that they would bring cedar logs by sea from Lebanon to Joppa, as authorized by Cyrus king of Persia.

The people gave money to those who worked with stone and those who worked with wood. They gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre. Then those people brought cedar logs down from Lebanon to the Mediterranean Sea. They floated them down to Joppa. Cyrus, the king of Persia, authorized them to do it.

So they gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

The logs were brought down from the Lebanon mountains and floated along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Joppa, for King Cyrus had given permission for this.

他們把秤好了的銀子交在管理耶和華殿督工的手裏，督工就支付給木匠和建造耶和華殿的工人，瓦匠和石匠，又買木料和鑿成的石頭，用來修理耶和華殿的破壞之處，以及其他修理殿的各項費用。

我的僕人必把這木料從黎巴嫩運到海裏，我會把它們紮成筏子浮在海上，運到你告訴我的地方，在那裏拆開，你就可以收取；你也要照我的心願做，把食物給我的家。」於是希蘭照所羅門的心願，給他香柏木和松木；所羅門給希蘭二萬歌珥麥子，二十歌珥搗成的油，作他家的食物。所羅門每年都是這樣給希蘭。

約拿卻起身，逃往他施去躲避耶和華。他下到約帕，遇見一條船要往他施去。約拿付了船費，就上船，與船上的人同往他施，為要躲避耶和華。

看哪，我必給你僕人，就是砍伐樹木的伐木工，二萬歌珥壓碎的小麥，二萬歌珥大麥，二萬罷特酒，二萬罷特油。」推羅王希蘭寫信回答所羅門說：「耶和華因為愛他的百姓，所以立你作他們的王。」又說：「創造天和地的耶和華－以色列的上帝是應當稱頌的！他賜給大衛王一個有智慧的兒子，使他有見識，有聰明，可以為耶和華建造殿宇，又為自己的王國建造宮殿。「現在我派一個精巧聰明的人去，他是我的師父戶蘭，是但支派一個婦人的兒子，父親是推羅人。他善用金、銀、銅、鐵、石、木，和紫色、藍色、細麻和朱紅色線製造各物，並精於雕刻，又能設計各樣交給他做的圖案。我派這人與你的巧匠和你父親－我主大衛的巧匠一同做工。我主所說的小麥、大麥、酒、油，請運來給眾僕人。我們必照你所需用的，從黎巴嫩砍伐樹木，紮成筏子，浮海運到約帕；你可以從那裏運到耶路撒冷。」

「波斯王居魯士如此說：耶和華天上的上帝已將地上萬國賜給我，又委派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。你們中間凡作他子民的，可以上猶大的耶路撒冷去，重建耶和華－以色列上帝的殿，他是在耶路撒冷的上帝；願上帝與這人同在。凡存留的人，無論寄居何處，那地的人要用金銀、財物、牲畜幫助他，還要為耶路撒冷上帝的殿甘心獻上禮物。」

交在管理耶和華殿督工的手裏，由他們支付給在耶和華殿裏做工的人，好修理殿的破壞之處，就是木匠、工人和瓦匠，又買木料和鑿成的石頭，來整修殿宇。

猶大和以色列地都與你交易；他們用米匿的小麥、餅、蜜、油、乳香換你的貨物。

王與耶何耶大把銀子交給耶和華殿裏辦事的人，他們就雇了石匠、木匠重修耶和華的殿，又雇了鐵匠、銅匠整修耶和華的殿。工人做工，修理工程在他們手中漸漸完成，他們將上帝的殿修理得如同從前一樣，非常堅固。

現在你要派人往約帕去，請一位稱為彼得的西門來。他住在一個皮革匠西門的家裏，房子就在海邊。」

居魯士王元年，王降旨論到在耶路撒冷上帝的殿，要建造這殿作為獻祭之處，堅固它的根基。殿高六十肘，寬六十肘，要用三層鑿成的石頭，一層木頭，經費可出於王的庫房。至於上帝殿的金銀器皿，就是尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷的殿中掠取帶到巴比倫的，必須歸還，帶回耶路撒冷的殿中，各按原處放在上帝的殿裏。」
