Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening sacrifices.

The people who built the altar were afraid of the nations around them. But they built it anyway. They set it up where it had stood before. They sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord. They offered the morning and evening sacrifices on it.

They set the altar in its place, for fear was on them because of the peoples of the lands, and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, burnt offerings morning and evening.

Even though the people were afraid of the local residents, they rebuilt the altar at its old site. Then they began to sacrifice burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord each morning and evening.

They set up the altar on its foundation and offered burnt offerings for the morning and evening on it to the LORD even though they feared the surrounding peoples.

爾告以色列人云、當獻於我之祭、即饗我為馨香之火祭、俱當敬謹按期而獻、更告之曰、爾所當獻於主之火祭、即無疵未盈歲之羔二、日獻為火焚祭、朝獻一羔、暮獻一羔、又取細麵伊法十分之一、和清油一欣四分之一、配為素祭、此乃在西乃山所命恆獻之火焚祭、為獻於主馨香之火祭、獻一羔、必奠酒一欣四分之一、當於聖所中於主前、奠一醇酒、暮獻一羔、配獻素祭、奠酒須循清晨例、為獻於主馨香之火祭、○

我仇敵終日欲吞我、逞驕傲以攻擊我者甚多、我恐懼時、惟倚賴主、我追念天主所應許之言、我讚美天主、倚賴天主、即無所恐懼、世人何能害我、

主為我之光明、乃我之救主、我尚懼誰耶、主為我生命之保障、我尚畏誰耶、作惡之類、即我之仇人、我之敵人、前來攻我、欲食我肉、彼皆傾跌顛仆、

又作銅祭臺、長二十尺、寛二十尺、高十尺、

此上亞達薛西王之表、其畧如左、河西臣民謹奏王知、自王畿來臣所之猶大人、至耶路撒冷、反亂惡劣之邑、復建邑城、已築基立垣、

我在亞哈瓦河濱、宣令禁食、使眾在我天主前、齋戒刻苦、祈求天主、使我儕及子女與凡所有、俱得坦途、昔我儕告王曰、凡求我天主者、必蒙其施恩保護、棄之者必干其盛怒、今若求王賜我步卒馬卒、防備途間之敵、則甚覺羞愧、

爾於祭臺所當常獻者、每日用未盈歲之羔二、朝獻一羔、暮獻一羔、每獻一羔、配獻細麵伊法十分之一、和以杵搗之清油一欣一欣約十斤四分之一、用葡萄酒一欣四分之一、以為灌奠、暮獻此羔、當如朝禮、亦獻麵與油與酒、為馨香、為火祭獻於主、此火焚祭、爾當歷代常獻於主、在會幕門前、我必在彼降臨諭爾、
