故我必使異邦最惡者至、據其宅第、我必使強暴者之驕態止息、其諸聖所、必被玷污、

I will bring the most wicked of nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated.

I will bring the most evil nations against them. They will take over the houses in the city. I will put an end to the pride of those who are mighty. Their holy places will be made“ unclean.”

I will bring the most ruthless of nations to occupy their homes. I will break down their proud fortresses and defile their sanctuaries.

所以我要使外族人，就是列國中最強橫的人，來攻擊你；他們要拔出刀來，攻擊你用智慧得來的美物，玷污你的光彩。

我必使這地非常荒涼，它因勢力而有的驕傲必止息；以色列的山都必荒涼，無人經過。

我必把我的忿怒倒在你身上，把我的怒火噴在你身上，又把你交在那些慣於毀滅的野蠻人手中。

他們的房屋、田地與妻子，都要一起轉歸別人；因為我要伸手，攻擊這地的居民。”這是耶和華的宣告。

獅子從牠的密林中上來了，毀壞列國的已經動身，從他的本處出發，為要使你的地荒涼，使你的城市破毀，無人居住。

故此，陰間擴張它的咽喉，張大它的口，沒有限量；耶路撒冷城的榮耀（“榮耀”或譯：“貴族”）、群眾、喧嚷的人和在城中作樂的人，都要下到陰間。

“人子啊！你要面向耶路撒冷，向聖所發言，說預言攻擊以色列地，

就是要興起迦勒底人，那殘忍兇暴的民；他們遍行全地，佔領別人的家園。他們恐怖可怕，自以為義，趾高氣揚。他們的馬比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。他們的騎兵奔馳，自遠而來；他們如鷹飛翔，迅速吞噬。他們定著臉面向前，齊來行暴，擄獲戰俘多如塵沙。他們戲弄君王，以掌權的為笑柄；他們嗤笑一切城堡，築壘攻取；

“可是，如果你們轉離我，丟棄我在你們面前頒布的律例和誡命，去事奉和敬拜別的神，我就必把以色列人從我賜給他們的土地上拔出來，並且我為自己的名分別為聖的這殿，我也必從我面前捨棄，使這殿在萬民中成為笑談和譏笑的對象。

他們曾說：“我們要得著神的牧場作自己的產業。”

‘你要告訴以色列家，主耶和華這樣說：看哪！我必使我的聖所被褻瀆，這聖所就是你們所誇耀的勢力，眼所喜愛的，心中所愛惜的。你們遺下的兒女，都必倒在刀下。

把他們交在外族人的手裡，恨惡他們的人就管轄他們。

我們的產業轉歸外人，我們的房屋歸給異族。

在曠野一切光禿的高岡上，行毀滅的已經來到了；因為耶和華的刀。從地這邊直到地那邊，要吞滅一切；人人都沒有平安。
