萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列，祂所喜愛的葡萄樹就是猶大人。祂希望看到公平，卻只看見殺戮；指望看到公義，卻只聽見冤聲。

她的邪惡如同泉水湧流不息，暴力和毀滅層出不窮，疾病和傷痛接連不斷。

僥倖逃到山上的，都必像谷中哀鳴的鴿子，為自己的罪惡哭泣。

城中的富人殘暴成性，居民謊話連篇，滿口詭詐之言。

非利士人啊，不要因擊打你們的杖已經折斷便高興。因為那杖就像一條蛇，必生出一條更危險的蛇，一條會飛的毒蛇。

你們吃我百姓的肉，剝我百姓的皮，打碎他們的骨頭，把他們切成塊，如同下在鍋裡、放進釜中的肉。

因此，論到猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬，耶和華說：「沒有人會為他哀悼說，『唉，我的弟兄啊！唉，我的姊妹啊！』沒有人會為他哀悼說，『唉，主人啊！唉，他的尊榮！』

到那日，遍地都是被耶和華殺戮的人，無人哀悼、收殮和埋葬，他們好像地上的糞便。

再從中取出幾根丟在火裡焚燒，必有火從這裡燃起，蔓延到整個以色列。」

他們貪圖田地，就去霸佔；想要房屋，就去搶奪。他們欺壓人，詐取別人的家園和產業。

主耶和華說：「你要拍手頓足地呼喊，『唉，以色列人有禍了！』他們的一切邪惡行為必使他們倒在刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫之下。

主耶和華說：「因為你們用一切可憎的偶像和惡行玷污我的聖所，我憑我的永恆起誓，我必毫不留情地剷除你們。

祭司喪身刀下，寡婦無法哭喪。

你們以為災難的日子離得還遠，就大肆施行暴政。

因為你必折斷他們負的軛和欺壓者的棍棒，好像昔日你毀滅米甸人一樣；

因為不憐憫人的會受到無情的審判，但憐憫勝過審判。

「人子啊，主耶和華對以色列這樣說，『結局到了，以色列全境的結局到了！

他們不知正道，強取豪奪，在他們的堡壘中積斂錢財。這是耶和華說的。」
