然而主的仆人不可争竞，只要温温和和地待众人，善于教导，存心忍耐，用温柔劝戒那抵挡的人；或者神给他们悔改的心，可以明白真道，

“万军之耶和华如此说：你要向祭司问律法，说：若有人用衣襟兜圣肉，这衣襟挨着饼，或汤，或酒，或油，或别的食物，便算为圣吗？”祭司说：“不算为圣。”哈该又说：“若有人因摸死尸染了污秽，然后挨着这些物的哪一样，这物算污秽吗？”祭司说：“必算污秽。”

他们要将你的典章教训雅各，将你的律法教训以色列。他们要把香焚在你面前，把全牲的燔祭献在你的坛上。

雅各家的首领、以色列家的官长啊，当听我的话！你们厌恶公平，在一切事上屈枉正直；以人血建立锡安，以罪孽建造耶路撒冷。首领为贿赂行审判；祭司为雇价施训诲；先知为银钱行占卜。他们却倚赖耶和华，说：“耶和华不是在我们中间吗？灾祸必不临到我们。”

真实的律法在他口中，他嘴里没有不义的话。他以平安和正直与我同行，使多人回头离开罪孽。祭司的嘴里当存知识，人也当由他口中寻求律法，因为他是万军之耶和华的使者。你们却偏离正道，使许多人在律法上跌倒。你们废弃我与利未所立的约。这是万军之耶和华说的。所以我使你们被众人藐视，看为下贱；因你们不守我的道，竟在律法上瞻徇情面。”
