昔斯民以其殿之門柱門橛與我殿之門柱門橛相連、惟間以壁、恆作不端、玷我聖名、故我震怒、殲滅殆盡、

昔斯民使其門閾附我門閾、使其門柱附我門柱、彼與我間、惟隔一壁、行可憎之事、瀆我聖名、故我震怒以殲滅之、

When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger.

The people of Israel placed their own doorway next to my holy doorway. They put their doorposts right beside mine. Nothing but a thin wall separated us. They treated my name as if it were not holy. I hated it when they did that. So I became angry with them and destroyed them.

主耶和華說：「我指着我的永生起誓，因你用一切可憎的物、可厭的事玷污了我的聖所，故此，我定要使你人數減少，我眼必不顧惜你，也不可憐你。

又在神殿內立雕刻的偶像。神曾對大衛和他兒子所羅門說：「我在以色列各支派中所選擇的耶路撒冷和這殿，必立我的名直到永遠。

你們把我的食物，就是脂油和血獻上的時候，將身心未受割禮的外邦人領進我的聖地，玷污了我的殿；又背了我的約，在你們一切可憎的事上，加上這一層。

在耶和華的殿宇中築壇－耶和華曾指着這殿說：「我的名必永遠在耶路撒冷。」

他伸出彷彿一隻手的樣式，抓住我的一綹頭髮，靈就將我舉到天地中間，在神的異象中，帶我到耶路撒冷朝北的內院門口，在那裏有觸動主怒偶像的坐位，就是惹動忌邪的。誰知，在那裏有以色列神的榮耀，形狀與我在平原所見的一樣。神對我說：「人子啊，你舉目向北觀看。」我就舉目向北觀看，見祭壇門的北邊，在門口有這惹忌邪的偶像；又對我說：「人子啊，以色列家所行的，就是在此行這大可憎的事，使我遠離我的聖所，你看見了嗎？你還要看見另有大可憎的事。」他領我到院門口。我觀看，見牆上有個窟窿。他對我說：「人子啊，你要挖牆。」我一挖牆，見有一門。他說：「你進去，看他們在這裏所行可憎的惡事。」我進去一看，誰知，在四面牆上畫着各樣爬物和可憎的走獸，並以色列家一切的偶像。在這些像前有以色列家的七十個長老站立，沙番的兒子雅撒尼亞也站在其中。各人手拿香爐，煙雲的香氣上騰。他對我說：「人子啊，以色列家的長老暗中在各人畫像屋裏所行的，你看見了嗎？他們常說：『耶和華看不見我們；耶和華已經離棄這地。』」他又說：「你還要看見他們另外行大可憎的事。」他領我到耶和華殿外院朝北的門口。誰知，在那裏有婦女坐着，為搭模斯哭泣。他對我說：「人子啊，你看見了嗎？你還要看見比這更可憎的事。」他又領我到耶和華殿的內院。誰知，在耶和華的殿門口、廊子和祭壇中間，約有二十五個人背向耶和華的殿，面向東方拜日頭。

在耶和華殿宇中築壇。耶和華曾指着這殿說：「我必立我的名在耶路撒冷。」他在耶和華殿的兩院中為天上的萬象築壇，並使他的兒子經火，又觀兆，用法術，立交鬼的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣；又在殿內立雕刻的亞舍拉像。耶和華曾對大衛和他兒子所羅門說：「我在以色列眾支派中所選擇的耶路撒冷和這殿，必立我的名，直到永遠。

又將耶和華面前的銅壇從耶和華殿和新壇的中間搬到新壇的北邊。亞哈斯王吩咐祭司烏利亞說：「早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭，王的燔祭、素祭，國內眾民的燔祭、素祭、奠祭都要燒在大壇上。燔祭牲和平安祭牲的血也要灑在這壇上，只是銅壇我要用以求問耶和華。」

她們殺了兒女獻與偶像，當天又入我的聖所，將聖所褻瀆了。她們在我殿中所行的乃是如此。

又將猶大列王在耶和華殿門旁、太監拿單‧米勒靠近遊廊的屋子、向日頭所獻的馬廢去，且用火焚燒日車。猶大列王在亞哈斯樓頂上所築的壇和瑪拿西在耶和華殿兩院中所築的壇，王都拆毀打碎了，就把灰倒在汲淪溪中。
