When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger.

The people of Israel placed their own doorway next to my holy doorway. They put their doorposts right beside mine. Nothing but a thin wall separated us. They treated my name as if it were not holy. I hated it when they did that. So I became angry with them and destroyed them.

你们除了行这一切可憎的事之外，还在你们把脂肪和血献给我作食物的时候，把身心都未受割礼的外族人带进我的圣所，玷污了我的殿，违背了我的约。

他又在耶和华的殿中筑坛，耶和华曾经指着这殿说：“我的名必永远留在耶路撒冷。”

他伸出一只形状像手的东西，抓住我的一绺头发；灵就把我提到天地之间，在神的异象中，他把我带往耶路撒冷，到圣殿北门内院的入口处，在那里有令神愤恨的偶像的座位，就是触动神愤恨的。不料，在那里有以色列神的荣耀，形状与我在平原所见的一样。他对我说：“人子啊！举目向北观看。”我就举目向北观看，见祭坛门的北面，在入口的地方，有令神愤恨的偶像。他又对我说：“人子啊！以色列家在这里所行的，就是他们行这极其可憎的事，使我远离我的圣所，你看见了吗？但你还要看见更加可憎的事。”他领我到院子的门口；我观看，见墙上有一个洞。他对我说：“人子啊，挖墙吧！”我就挖墙，不料，见有一道门。他对我说：“你进去，看看他们在这里所行可憎的恶事。”于是我进去观看，见四围的墙上刻着各种形状的爬行的动物，和可憎恶的走兽，以及以色列家所有的偶像。站在这些像面前的有以色列家的七十个长老，沙番的儿子雅撒尼亚也站在他们中间；各人手里拿着自己的香炉，香的烟往上升。他对我说：“人子啊！以色列家的众长老各在自己偶像的房间里暗中所行的，你看见了吗？他们说：‘耶和华看不见我们，耶和华已经离开这地了。’”他又对我说：“你还要看见他们行更加可憎的事。”他领我到耶和华殿朝北的门口，在那里有些妇女坐着，为搭模斯哭泣。他对我说：“人子啊，你看见了吗？你还要看见比这些更可憎的事。”他又领我到耶和华殿的内院，在耶和华殿的门口，就是在走廊和祭坛中间，约有二十五个人，背向耶和华的殿，面向着东方；他们正在朝着东面叩拜太阳。

他又在耶和华的殿内建造祭坛，耶和华曾指着这殿说：“我要立我的名在耶路撒冷。”他又在耶和华殿的两院中为天上的万象建造祭坛。他又把他的儿子用火烧为祭（“把他的儿子用火烧为祭”直译是“使他的儿子经过进入火中”），并且算命、观兆，交鬼和行巫术；多行耶和华看为恶的事，惹他发怒。他又把自己所做的亚舍拉雕像安放在圣殿中，耶和华曾对大卫和他的儿子所罗门论到这殿说：“我要在这殿和我从以色列众支派中拣选的耶路撒冷，立我的名，直到永远。

至于耶和华面前的铜祭坛，他把它从殿前，从新坛与耶和华殿中间移至新坛的北边。亚哈斯王吩咐乌利亚祭司说：“要在这大祭坛上焚烧早晨的燔祭、黄昏的素祭、王的燔祭牲和素祭、所有国民的燔祭和素祭；也要在坛上浇上他们的奠祭，以及所有燔祭牲和平安祭牲的血。至于铜祭坛，我要用来求问神。”

她们宰杀了自己的儿女献给偶像，同一天又进了我的圣所，把圣所亵渎。这就是她们在我殿中所行的。

他又除去犹大列王献给日头的马匹；这些马匹是在耶和华殿的入口处，靠近太监拿单．米勒在院子里的住宅。他又把献给日头的战车用火烧掉。他又把亚哈斯的楼房顶上，犹大列王所做的祭坛，和玛拿西在耶和华殿的两院中所做的祭坛拆毁，就地打碎，把它们的灰尘倒进汲沦溪去。
