Then he went to the east gate. He climbed its steps and measured the threshold of the gate; it was one rod deep.

Then he came to the gate that faced east and climbed its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate; it was 10½ feet deep— one threshold was 10½ feet deep.

Then he went to the gate which faced east, went up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod in width; and the other threshold was one rod in width.

Then he went to the gateway which faced east; and he went up its stairs and measured the threshold of the gateway, which was one rod wide, and the other threshold was one rod wide.

Then he came to the gate that faced east and climbed its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate; it was 10 feet deep— the first threshold was 10 feet deep.

Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate,[ which was] one reed broad; and the other threshold[ of the gate, which was] one reed broad.

Then he went to the gate facing east. He climbed its steps and measured the threshold of the gate as 10½ feet deep.

Then he came to the gate which looks toward the east, and went up its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate, one reed wide; and the other threshold, one reed wide.

Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east.

And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah’s house; and behold, at the door of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces toward the east; and they were worshipping the sun toward the east.

Moreover the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of Jehovah’s house, which looketh eastward: and behold, at the door of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

And the gate of the outer court whose prospect is toward the north, he measured the length thereof and the breadth thereof.

who hitherto waited in the king’s gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

And there were seven steps to go up to it, and the arches thereof were before them; and it had palm- trees, one on this side, and another on that side, upon the posts thereof.

The door for the middle side- chambers was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.

and go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the gate Harsith, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee;

And every lodge was one reed long, and one reed broad; and the space between the lodges was five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate toward the house was one reed.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath day it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened.And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate; and the priests shall prepare his burnt- offering and his peace- offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

in their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their door- post beside my door- post, and there was but the wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.

On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

And the glory of Jehovah went forth from over the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim.

Then he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary, which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.

After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his own house. And after him repaired Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate.

And he brought me back unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward( for the forefront of the house was toward the east); and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.

And when the prince shall prepare a freewill- offering, a burnt- offering or peace- offerings as a freewill- offering unto Jehovah, one shall open for him the gate that looketh toward the east; and he shall prepare his burnt- offering and his peace- offerings, as he doth on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.
