我虽然对义人说他必定生存，但是他若恃着自己的义而行恶，他的一切义都必不被记念；他必因所行的恶死亡。

我对义人说：‘你必定存活！’他若倚靠他的义而作罪孽，他所行的义都不被记念。他必因所作的罪孽死亡。

我对义人说：‘你必存活！’他若倚靠自己的义作恶，所行的义就不被记念；他必因所作的恶死亡。

我言善人必生、如彼自恃其善、陷罪觸法、則其前善、必不復憶、因其作惡、必置之死、

我言善人必生、如彼自恃其善而行惡、則其諸善不復記憶、必因所作之惡死亡、

If I tell a righteous person that they will surely live, but then they trust in their righteousness and do evil, none of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered; they will die for the evil they have done.

Suppose I tell a godly person that they will live. And they trust in the fact that they used to do what is right. But now they do what is evil. Then I will not remember any of the right things they have done. They will die because they have done so many evil things.

Though I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, yet if he trusts in his righteousness and does injustice, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered, but in his injustice that he has done he shall die.

When I tell righteous people that they will live, but then they sin, expecting their past righteousness to save them, then none of their righteous acts will be remembered. I will destroy them for their sins.

When I tell the righteous person that he will surely live, but he trusts in his righteousness and acts unjustly, then none of his righteousness will be remembered, and he will die because of the injustice he has committed.

When I say to the righteous that he will certainly live, and he so trusts in his righteousness that he commits injustice, none of his righteous deeds will be remembered; but for that same injustice of his which he has committed he will die.

When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die.

When I say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his righteousness, and commit iniquity, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in his iniquity that he hath committed, therein shall he die.

“义人若转离他的义去行恶，照着恶人所行一切可憎的事而行，他能存活吗？他所行的一切义都不会被记念；他必因他所行不忠的事和他所犯的罪而灭亡。

我的义人必因信得生，如果他后退，我的心就不喜悦他。”

他们既然不明白神的义，而又企图建立自己的义，就不服神的义了。

如果他们因为认识我们的主、救主耶稣基督，可以脱离世上的污秽，后来又在其中被缠住、受制伏，他们末了的景况，就比先前的更不好了。既然认识了义路，竟又背弃传给他们的圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识好得多了。他们的情形，正像俗语所说的：“狗转过来，又吃自己所吐的；猪洗净了，又到污泥中去打滚。”

看哪！所有的人都是属我的，作父亲的怎样属我，作儿子的也怎样属我，唯独犯罪的，才会灭亡。

并且得以在他里面，不是有自己因律法而得的义，而是有因信基督而得的义，就是基于信心，从神而来的义，

耶稣向那些自恃为义、轻视别人的人，讲了这个比喻：“有两个人上圣殿去祈祷，一个是法利赛人，一个是税吏。法利赛人站着，祷告给自己听，这样说：‘神啊，我感谢你，我不像别人，勒索、不义、奸淫，也不像这个税吏。我一个礼拜禁食两次，我的一切收入都奉献十分之一。’税吏却远远站着，连举目望天也不敢，只捶着胸说：‘神啊，可怜我这个罪人！’我告诉你们，这个人回家去，比那个倒算为义了。因为高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己谦卑的，必要升高。”

如果义人偏离正义，行事邪恶，我必把绊脚石放在他面前，他必定死亡；因为你没有警告他，他必因自己的罪死亡。他素常所行的义，也必不被记念。但我要因他的死追究你。

他们从我们中间离去，这就表明他们是不属于我们的。其实他们并不属于我们，如果真的属于我们，就一定会留在我们中间。
