“ Elam is there, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword. All who had spread terror in the land of the living went down uncircumcised to the earth below. They bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

“ Elam is also there. Its huge armies lie around the grave of its king. All those who spread terror while they were alive are now dead. They were killed by swords. They had not been circumcised. They went down into the earth below. Their shame is like the shame of others who go down into the grave.

“ Elam is there, and all her multitude around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised into the world below, who spread their terror in the land of the living; and they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

“ Elam lies there surrounded by the graves of all its hordes, those who were slaughtered by the sword. They struck terror in the hearts of people everywhere, but now they have descended as outcasts to the world below. Now they lie in the pit and share the shame of those who have gone before them.

“ Elam is there with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword— those who went down to the underworld uncircumcised, who once spread their terror in the land of the living. They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the Pit.

“ Elam is there and all her hordes around her grave; all of them killed, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth, who inflicted their terror on the land of the living, and bore their disgrace with those who go down to the pit.

“ There is Elam and all her multitude, All around her grave, All of them slain, fallen by the sword, Who have gone down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth, Who caused their terror in the land of the living; Now they bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit.

爾擬姊妹當受羞辱、今爾必自受、爾所犯之罪、較彼尤為可憎、則彼較爾顯為善、爾既使姊妹較爾顯為善、則爾必蒙羞抱愧、

猶大王西底家始為王、先知耶利米得主之默示、論以攔曰、萬有之主如是云、以攔人以弓為首能、我必折之、我必使四風、自天之四方來擊以攔、將以攔人散於四方、四方原文作諸風則以攔被逐者、無國不至、主曰、我使以攔人於索其命之敵前喪膽、我震怒降之以災、使鋒刃追殺其後、待我盡滅之、我必設我位於以攔、以滅君王候伯、此乃主所言、主曰、雖然、至末日、我將使以攔被擄者旋歸、

人子、當為伊及與其眾庶哀嘆、預言伊及、必與強盛之他邦、同下示阿勒、與下於墓者偕、

我必使爾與入墓者偕處、下至久死者之所、置爾在地之深處、自古寂寞之所、與入墓者同處、使爾中無人居處、此後我使活人之地、活人之地即以色列地復得榮華、

彼偃臥於見殺者中、其眾庶在其墓之四周、俱為不潔者、俱亡於刃、在生命地之時、曾使人恐懼、今則受辱蒙羞、下於坑中、俱偃臥於見殺者中、

今爾當指以色列地述預言、告彼山岡、澗溪、山谷、曰、主天主如是云、緣爾曹受異邦人之羞辱、故我熱中如焚、發我之盛忿、以譴責異邦人、主天主如是云、我發誓、爾四周之異邦人、必受辱蒙羞、

維時示拿王暗拉非、以拉撒王亞畧、以攔王基大老瑪、列族王提達、

不可或作不許下同詣我前供祭司之職、不可在至聖所近我一切聖物、必因所作可憎之事、含羞抱愧、

我返之自異邦、聚之自敵國、待之以恩、以彰顯我之聖、萬邦目睹、待之以恩以彰顯我之聖萬邦目睹或作我藉彼顯我為聖在萬國目前使彼安居故土、無人驚擾、是時彼追念獲罪我之諸事、則甚愧怍、

我必為彼使有名者興、長若植物、或作我必為彼使諸植物暢茂使其聲名遠揚又作我必使彼發旺如植物聲名遠揚不復使斯地之民、滅於饑荒、不復受異邦人之凌辱、

心利諸王、以攔諸王、瑪代諸王、

使水旁之諸樹、不復高大、不復枝葉茂盛、巔頂崇高、不復因崇高、使彼得灌溉之群樹、立於四周、因俱必枯而死、偃於地之深處、與人之下墓無異、

爾必蒙羞特甚、不得榮耀、亦必昏醉、且露下體、主右手所執之爵、爾不得不飲、爾之榮必變為辱、

當是時主復伸手、以救其遺民、即在亞述、伊及、帕特羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈末、及海島所遺之民、

智慧無價、人不可量、在世人中無處可得、

我見異象之時、以為我在以攔州、書珊城、我於異象中彷彿在烏萊河濱、

最強之勇士、已在示阿勒者、見彼與助之者亦下於斯、必謂之曰、不潔之人、亦亡於刃、亦墮落偃臥、

我之列祖勤勞所得之羊群牛群、及其子女、自我立國立國原文作幼時下同以來、悉為可恥者吞噬、我儕自立國至今、我儕與列祖獲罪於主、我之天主、不聽主我天主之命、故我若臥於羞辱、恥辱蒙蔽我身、

閃之子以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路得、亞蘭、烏斯、戶勒、基帖、米設、

亦使爾不復聞異邦人之譏刺、不復為列民所辱、不復害爾居民、此乃主天主所言、○
