The mighty chiefs shall speak of them, with their helpers, out of the midst of Sheol:‘ They have come down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’

From within the realm of the dead the mighty leaders will say of Egypt and her allies,‘ They have come down and they lie with the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.’

The mighty leaders who are already in the place of the dead will talk about Egypt. They will also speak about the nations that were going to help it. They will say,‘ They have come down here. They are lying down with those who had not been circumcised. They are here with those who were killed by swords.’

Down in the grave mighty leaders will mockingly welcome Egypt and its allies, saying,‘ They have come down; they lie among the outcasts, hordes slaughtered by the sword.’

Warrior leaders will speak from the middle of Sheol about him and his allies:‘ They have come down; the uncircumcised lie slain by the sword.’

The strong among the mighty ones shall speak of him and his helpers from the midst of Sheol:‘ They have gone down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, killed by the sword.’

The strong among the mighty Shall speak to him out of the midst of hell With those who help him:‘ They have gone down, They lie with the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

Warrior leaders will speak from the middle of Sheol about him and his allies: They have come down; the uncircumcised lie slain by the sword.

The bravest of the warriors will speak to him from the midst of Sheol along with his allies, saying:‘ The uncircumcised have come down; they lie still, killed by the sword.’

Sheol beneath is stirred up to meet you when you come; it rouses the shades to greet you, all who were leaders of the earth; it raises from their thrones all who were kings of the nations.All of them will answer and say to you:‘ You too have become as weak as we! You have become like us!’

And they do not lie with the mighty, the fallen from among the uncircumcised, who went down to Sheol with their weapons of war, whose swords were laid under their heads, and whose iniquities are upon their bones; for the terror of the mighty men was in the land of the living.

The wicked is overthrown through his evildoing, but the righteous finds refuge in his death.

and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.And he called out,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’

And the strong shall become tinder, and his work a spark, and both of them shall burn together, with none to quench them.

But if the Lord creates something new, and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”And as soon as he had finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split apart.And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the people who belonged to Korah and all their goods.So they and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.And all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said,“ Lest the earth swallow us up!”

The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.

Let death steal over them; let them go down to Sheol alive; for evil is in their dwelling place and in their heart.

“ Elam is there, and all her multitude around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised into the world below, who spread their terror in the land of the living; and they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.They have made her a bed among the slain with all her multitude, her graves all around it, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for terror of them was spread in the land of the living, and they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit; they are placed among the slain.

‘ Whom do you surpass in beauty? Go down and be laid to rest with the uncircumcised.’
