I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man.

I will make the arms of the king of Babylon stronger. I will put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And he will groan in front of Nebuchadnezzar. He will cry out like someone dying from his wounds.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a man mortally wounded.

古實人歟、爾亦必見戮於我刃、

我必輔巴比倫王之肱、使法老之肱下垂、既以我刃付巴比倫王手、使舉而擊埃及國、則知我乃耶和華、

耶和華膏古列、執其右手、服列國於其前、去諸王之腰束、啟其邑門、俾不復閉、

蓋彼眾欲恐我、意謂我手必弱、以致工作不得成功、然我乃強厥手、○

大邑之人歎息、傷者之心悲哀、惟此殘暴、上帝弗之顧也、

我乃耶和華、我外無他、別無上帝、爾雖未識我、我必束爾腰、

倘礪閃爍之刃、施行審鞫、敵我者、我必罰之、憾我者、我必報之、必使我矢醉於血、我刃吞厥肉、即被虜見殺者之血、敵魁頭顱之肉、

耶和華歟、起而抵禦之、顚仆之、以爾之刃、拯我於惡人兮、

主耶和華謂推羅曰、爾傾圮時、傷者呻吟、殺戮行於爾中、諸島聞之、豈不震動乎、

吾今以此諸國、付於我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手、亦錫以田野之畜、俾供其役、列邦必服事之、延及子孫、迨其國之期既屆、則有多國大王、使之服役、無論何國何族、不服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、不以其項負巴比倫王之軛者、我必以鋒刃饑饉疫癘罰之、迨盡滅於其手、耶和華言之矣、

上帝束我以力、俾我道途平直兮、

耶和華我磐石、宜頌美之、彼訓我手以戰、教我指以鬥兮、

主耶和華曰、我必藉巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、滅絕埃及之眾、

蓋爾以力束我、使備戰爭、起而攻我者、俾服於我兮、

耶和華曰、時日將至、我必懲罰其雕像、受傷者呻吟、遍滿其地、

我將經行苦海、衝擊海濤、尼羅之深處必涸、亞述之驕矜必降、埃及之權柄必亡、我將使之恃耶和華而堅強、奉其名而往來、耶和華言之矣、

夫斧豈對用斧而斫者自伐乎、鋸豈對運鋸者自矜乎、是猶梃運彼舉之者、杖舉夫非木者、

亞述為我震怒之梃、其手所持、乃我忿恚之杖、我遣之攻褻慢之邦、令其擊我所恚之民、虜之掠之、且蹂躪之、若街衢之泥塗、
