Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: Look, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and I will break his arms, the strong arm and the broken one, and I will make the sword drop from his hand.

所以主耶和华如此说：看哪，我与埃及王法老为敌，必将他有力的膀臂和已打折的膀臂全行打断，使刀从他手中坠落。

主耶和華說，『我要與埃及王法老為敵，我要把他那強壯的臂膀和曾經受傷的臂膀一起打斷，使刀從他手中掉落。

因此主永恆主這麼說：看哪，我跟埃及王法老為敵；我必將他有力的膀臂、和已打折的膀臂、全行打斷；使刀從他手中墜落。

故主耶和華曰、我與埃及王法老為敵、必折其二肱、健者傷者、今並折之、使刃墮於其手、

主耶和華曰、我必降災於埃及王法老、昔折一肱、其一尚健今並折之、使刃墮地、

今主天主如是云、我必懲罰伊及王法老、必折其二臂、折其尚健者、已折者再折之、使刃墮於其手、

Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand.

I am against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. I will break both his arms. I will break his healthy arm and his broken one. His sword will fall from his hand.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt and will break his arms, both the strong arm and the one that was broken, and I will make the sword fall from his hand.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am the enemy of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt! I will break both of his arms— the good arm along with the broken one— and I will make his sword clatter to the ground.

Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Look! I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break his arms, both the strong one and the one already broken, and will make the sword fall from his hand.

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:‘ Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and I will break his arms, both the strong and the broken; and I will make the sword fall from his hand.

Therefore thus says the Lord God:‘ Surely I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, both the strong one and the one that was broken; and I will make the sword fall out of his hand.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

Therefore this is what the Lord God says: Look! I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break his arms, both the strong one and the one already broken, and will make the sword fall from his hand.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I[ am] against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken. I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

“ The LORD God of Israel says,‘ Give a message to the king of Judah who sent you to ask me to help him. Tell him,“ The army of Pharaoh that was on its way to help you will go back home to Egypt.

The king of Egypt did not march out from his land again, for the king of Babylon conquered all the territory that the king of Egypt had formerly controlled between the Brook of Egypt and the Euphrates River.

for evil men will lose their power, but the LORD sustains the godly.

Tell them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says:“‘ Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster lying in the midst of its waterways, who has said,“ My Nile is my own, I made it for myself.”

The LORD spoke to Jeremiah about the nations.He spoke about Egypt and the army of Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt which was encamped along the Euphrates River at Carchemish. Now this was the army that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon defeated in the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was ruling over Judah.“ Fall into ranks with your shields ready! Prepare to march into battle!Harness the horses to the chariots! Mount your horses! Put on your helmets and take your positions! Sharpen you spears! Put on your armor!What do I see?” says the LORD.“ The soldiers are terrified. They are retreating. They have been defeated. They are overcome with terror; they desert quickly without looking back.But even the swiftest cannot get away. Even the strongest cannot escape. There in the north by the Euphrates River they stumble and fall in defeat.“ Who is this that rises like the Nile, like its streams turbulent at flood stage?Egypt rises like the Nile, like its streams turbulent at flood stage. Egypt says,‘ I will arise and cover the earth. I will destroy cities and the people who inhabit them.’Go ahead and charge into battle, you horsemen! Drive furiously, you charioteers! Let the soldiers march out into battle, those from Ethiopia and Libya who carry shields, and those from Lydia who are armed with the bow.But that day belongs to the Lord God who rules over all. It is the day when he will pay back his enemies. His sword will devour them until its appetite is satisfied! It will drink their blood until it is full! For the Lord GOD who rules over all will offer them up as a sacrifice in the land of the north by the Euphrates River.Go up to Gilead and get medicinal ointment, you dear poor people of Egypt. But it will prove useless no matter how much medicine you use; there will be no healing for you.The nations will hear of your devastating defeat. your cries of distress will echo throughout the earth. In the panic of their flight one soldier will trip over another and both of them will fall down defeated.”

I will seek the lost and bring back the strays; I will bandage the injured and strengthen the sick, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them– with judgment!

Even her mercenaries will prove to be like pampered, well-fed calves. For they too will turn and run away. They will not stand their ground when the time for them to be destroyed comes, the time for them to be punished.Egypt will run away, hissing like a snake, as the enemy comes marching up in force. They will come against her with axes as if they were woodsmen chopping down trees.The population of Egypt is like a vast, impenetrable forest. But I, the LORD, affirm that the enemy will cut them down. For those who chop them down will be more numerous than locusts. They will be too numerous to count.Poor dear Egypt will be put to shame. She will be handed over to the people from the north.”The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,“ I will punish Amon, the god of Thebes. I will punish Egypt, its gods, and its kings. I will punish Pharaoh and all who trust in him.
