When I say to a wicked person,‘ You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.

Suppose I say to a sinful person,‘ You can be sure you will die.’ And you do not warn them. You do not try to get them to change their evil ways in order to save their life. Then that sinful person will die because they have sinned. And I will hold you responsible for their death.

For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child— both alike belong to me. The one who sins is the one who will die. (niv)

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God. (niv)

And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.“ Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind. “ Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel?For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! (niv)

Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. (niv)

but God did say,‘ You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”“ You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. (niv)
