爾因美麗、中心驕泰、爾之榮光、敗爾智慧、我必仆爾於地、置爾於列王前、為其目睹、

爾因美麗、中心驕泰、亦因光彩、失其智慧、故我必傾圮爾、使列王目睹。

因爾美麗、中心驕傲、妄用智慧以自榮、故我必使爾於列王前、傾仆於地、為眾目所睹、

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.

You thought you were so handsome that it made your heart proud. You thought you were so glorious that it spoiled your wisdom. So I threw you down to the earth. I made an example out of you in front of kings.

Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you.

Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.

“ Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

“人子啊，你去告诉泰尔王，主耶和华这样说，“‘你心里高傲，说，我是神，我坐在海中神的宝座上。你虽然自以为像神，但事实上你不是神，不过是人。

“因此，主耶和华说，‘因为它树干高大，树梢高耸入云，心高气傲，

你靠高超的经商本领使财富大增，因而变得心高气傲。

因为自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。”

巴比伦王啊，你下到阴间，阴间兴奋地迎接你，那些在世上做过君王和首领的阴魂都从座位上站起来迎接你，对你说，‘你如今也跟我们一样软弱无能。’你的荣耀和琴声一同落入阴间，虫成了你的床铺，蛆成了你的被子。

这样，我便制止了这地方的淫乱，所有的妇女都引以为戒，不敢效法她们。

正如圣经上说：“我要摧毁智者的智慧，废弃明哲的聪明。”这个世代所谓的智者、学者、雄辩家在哪里？上帝岂不是把这世上的智慧都变成愚昧了吗？上帝运用自己的智慧不让世人凭自己的智慧去认识祂，祂乐意采用世人看为愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人，这就是上帝的智慧。

智者必蒙羞辱，受惊吓，被捉拿。看啊，他们既弃掉耶和华的话，哪里还有智慧可言呢？

你把他们放在容易滑倒的地方，使他们落入毁灭中。

他们自以为聪明，其实愚不可及，以必朽的人、飞禽、走兽和爬虫的形象来取代永恒上帝的荣耀。因此，上帝任凭他们随从内心的情欲行污秽的事，玷污彼此的身体。他们把上帝的真理当作谎言，祭拜、供奉受造之物，却不敬拜、事奉造物主。主是永远值得称颂的。阿们！

耶和华扶持谦卑人，毁灭邪恶人。

你的美貌名扬四方，因为我给你的华贵使你美貌无比。这是主耶和华说的。“‘你却仗着自己的美貌和名声纵情淫乱，与所有过路的人苟合。

骄横是沦亡的前奏，狂傲是败落的预兆。

傲慢带来羞辱，谦卑者有智慧。

埃及王聪明的谋士——琐安的首领们变得愚不可及。他们怎敢在埃及王面前自称是古圣先贤的子孙呢？埃及王啊，你的智者在哪里呢？让他们把万军之耶和华对付埃及的计划告诉你吧！琐安的首领愚昧，挪弗的首领糊涂。他们是埃及的房角石，却把埃及人引入歧途。

但上帝赐给我们更大的恩典，所以圣经上说：“上帝阻挡骄傲的人，恩待谦卑的人。”

我在他们面前挥刀攻击你的时候，各国的人都必因你而惊骇，他们的君王必胆战心惊。在你倾覆那天，他们都必时刻为自己的性命战战兢兢。’

发泄你满腔的怒火，鉴察骄傲者，贬抑他；鉴察骄傲者，制服他，将恶人原地践踏；

我要使列国中最残暴的外族人来攻打你，拔刀毁坏你凭智慧得来的美物，玷污你的荣美，

烧毁你的房屋，在众妇女面前审判你。我要阻止你的淫乱行为，使你不再倒贴钱给情人。
