Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you!By your wisdom and understanding You have acquired riches for yourself And have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.By your great wisdom, by your trade You have increased your riches, And your heart is haughty because of your riches—Therefore this is what the Lord God says:‘ Because you have made your heart Like the heart of God,

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, held for judgment;

How you have fallen from heaven, You star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who defeated the nations!

Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people.

The crown has fallen from our head; Woe to us, for we have sinned!

Behold, I have found only this, that God made people upright, but they have sought out many schemes.”

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.So the Lord was sorry that He had made mankind on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
