君民眾多、見我揮劍、罰爾之日、必畏懼駭愕、恐喪生命、戰慄不已、

憾爾者自生愧怍、喪德者室廬無存。

我耶和華喑鳴叱咤、威若猛獅、我民疾趨、自西而至、歸誠乎我、

尼尼微王聞言下位、解衣衣麻、坐於塗炭。

少者當服長老、彼此相順、必以謙讓為衣服、驕泰者、上帝擯斥、卑遜者、上帝賜恩、

邑門寂寞、民坐塗炭而哭泣、

彼欲尊己而凌予、幸予有災、當使之自蒙羞惡、駭懼不勝兮。

以東諸伯必觳觫、摩押英豪必戰慄、迦南居民必喪膽。

迦勒底國巴比倫都譬諸女主、失位而坐塗炭、喪其容儀、

遙見約百而不識、大聲號泣、各裂衣、揚灰、蒙首、歷七晝夜、同坐於地、見約百憂甚、相對無言。

郇邑長老坐於塗炭、緘口無言、首蒙灰、腰束麻、耶路撒冷處女、俯首至地兮。

天下商旅、苦無貿易、故哭之哀、所貿易者、金銀、寶石、珠璣、細布、絲縷、紫絳、染料、杜松、象牙、佳木、銅鐵白石諸器、亦有肉桂、香品、香膏、乳香、酒油、粉麥、牛羊、車馬、奴僕、向所嗜果實安在、珍奇華彩無存、不可復得、諸商旅因以富饒、懼害及身、遙立哀哭云、大邑素衣細布紫絳、飾金玉珠璣、頃刻間、富有遂至貧乏、嗚呼哀哉、各舟長舟子、與附載之人、及航海商旅遙立、見厥火炎炎、呼曰、誰能與大邑比儗乎、以塵埃蒙首、哀哭呼曰、大邑以厥珍寶、使操舟於海者富裕、頃刻間、已至貧乏、嗚呼哀哉、

強悍之輩、不潔之民、亡於鋒刃、俱下陰府、見埃及王及助之者、亦至於斯、必與之言、在彼有亞述及其眾旅、俱亡以刃、下窀穸、入陰府、埃及眾庶素使人恐懼、今亡以刃、偃仆於側。

余赫斯怒、視爾所為、深堪痛疾、降災爾躬、不加矜憫、使知責爾者、乃我耶和華。

又曰、告以色列族云、爾眾強項不馴、我如速臨、必翦滅爾眾、盍去爾文飾、我試思之、將何以待爾。以色列族聞是言。愀然以憂、在何烈山、去其文飾。○

彼尤人必以咒詛、猶文身必以衣服、願彼咒詛、猶水入其腎腸、如油淪其骨髓兮、

凡撥櫂者、駕舟者、辨水道者、必棄舟登岸、無不痛哭、其聲甚慘、蒙灰於首、坐於塗炭。盡薙厥髮、束麻於身、緣爾困苦、其聲甚哀、哭時必作哀歌、曰、推羅傾圮矣、昔居海中、無所比儗、爾之貨財饒足、自海而至、天下君民、獲富者甚眾、遇海水汎濫、淹爾於波濤、其時爾邑傾圮、居民殞亡、洲島之民、為爾駭愕、其王恐懼、憂形於色、四方商賈、作怨憤之聲、見爾淪亡、恐懼不勝。

勃然變色、中心鬱陶、腰骨閃損、兩股戰栗、

願敵貽羞、若蔽以衣、願其抱愧、若蒙以裳兮。

敵必蒙羞、彼必冠冕、赫赫榮華兮。
