So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month,[ even] in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day,[ even] toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he[ is] thy Lord; and worship thou him.And the daughter of Tyre[ shall be there] with a gift;[ even] the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.The king’s daughter[ is] all glorious within: her clothing[ is] of wrought gold.She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another,[ even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
