因為連神言人帶祭司、都褻瀆上帝；甚至在我殿中我也看見他們行的壞事：永恆主發神諭說。

他們之看情面作證控訴他們；他們的罪像所多瑪、他們都敘說出來，並不隱瞞。他們有禍啊！因為他們以災害賞報自己。

『但是你看，你們竟然倚靠虛假的話無所受益。怎麼啦！你們偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、燻祭獻給巴力，隨從素不認識之別的神，你們又來到這稱為我名下的殿，站在我面前，說：「我們得救了！」——無他，只為的是要繼續行那些可厭惡的事罷了！是不是？這稱為我名下的殿、在你們眼中看就作為兇暴人的洞穴麼？你瞧着吧，我都看見了：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

我所愛的人既行了罪大惡極的事，還有甚麼資格在我的殿呢？難道許願或祝聖的肉能使你脫離你的壞事麼？那時你能歡躍麼？

此外他們還有向我所行的：就是他們同一日玷污了我的聖所，又瀆犯了我的安息日。

其首領、為了賄賂而行審判，其祭司為了雇價而指教禮節，其神言人為了銀錢而行占卜，居然倚靠永恆主而宣稱說：『永恆主不是在我們中間麼？災禍必不會臨到我們。』

他竟又在永恆主殿中為外人的神築了祭壇；這殿是永恆主曾指着說：『我的名必永遠在耶路撒冷』的。瑪拿西在永恆主之殿的兩院中為天上萬象築了祭壇。並在欣嫩子谷將兒女用火燒獻為祭，又算命，又觀兆頭，又行邪術，又行交鬼的事和巫術；多行永恆主所看為壞的事，而惹他發怒。他又將他所做雕塑物的像立在上帝殿中；這殿卻是永恆主曾對大衛和大衛兒子所羅門指着說：『是在這殿並在我從以色列眾族派中所選擇的耶路撒冷、我要立我的名到永遠的。

當下他們將耶穌、從該亞法那裏帶到皇省長府內。那時候是清早；他們自己卻沒有進府內，免得染了俗污，好喫逾越節的筵席。
