『人子啊，你要對這地說：當我盛怒的日子、你是沒有雨水未得霖雨之地。

“人子啊，你要对这地说：你是未得洁净之地，在恼恨的日子也没有雨下在你以上。

“人子啊，你要向这地说：你是未被洁净之地，在我盛怒的日子，没有雨水在其上。

“人子啊，你要向这地说：你是未被洁净之地，在我盛怒的日子，没有雨水在其上。

“人子啊，你要对以色列说，‘在我发怒的日子，将没有雨水滋润你这不洁之地。

“人子啊！你要对这地说：‘在忿怒的日子，你是没有雨水（“没有雨水”这译法是根据古译本，原文作“未得洁净”），没有甘霖之地’。

「人子啊，你要對這地說：你是未得潔淨之地，在惱恨的日子也沒有雨下在你以上。

「人子啊，你要向這地說：你是未被潔淨之地，在我盛怒的日子，沒有雨水在其上。

“ Son of man, say to the land,‘ You are a land that has not been cleansed or rained on in the day of wrath.’

“ Son of man, speak to the land. Tell it,‘ You have not been washed clean with rain. That’s because I am angry with you.’

“ Son of man, say to her, You are a land that is not cleansed or rained upon in the day of indignation.

“ Son of man, give the people of Israel this message: In the day of my indignation, you will be like a polluted land, a land without rain.

“ Son of man, say to her,‘ You are a land that has not been cleansed, that has not received rain in the day of indignation.’

“ Son of man, say to her,‘ You are a land that is not clean or rained on in the day of indignation.’

這人民還沒有回轉來歸向那擊打他們、的主，還沒有尋求萬軍之永恆主。

她不聽主的聲音，不接受管教；她不倚靠永恆主，不親近她的上帝。

我責打你們的兒女、也是枉然；他們不接受懲治；你們自己的刀吞滅了你們的神言人，像殘害人的獅子。

在急難時候、這位亞哈斯王對永恆主越發不忠實。

風箱猛烈地吹，鉛在火中銷熔；他們煉了又煉，終屬徒然；因為壞的還未提煉開來。

不但如此，眾祭司領袖和人民也大大地不忠實，像外國人所行一切可憎惡的事那樣；他們污瀆了永恆主的殿、就是永恆主在耶路撒冷所分別為聖的。永恆主他們列祖的上帝因為顧惜他自己的人民和居所，便又及時又屢次地警告、由他的使者經手傳出話來警告他們。他們卻直戲笑上帝的使者，藐視上帝的話，直譏誚他的神言人，以致永恆主向他人民發烈怒、到無法救治。

永恆主啊，你的眼目不是注視忠誠麼？你擊打他們，他們卻不傷慟：你毁滅他們，他們卻不肯接受管教；他們硬着臉皮、比磐石還硬，總不肯轉回。

在你的污穢中有淫蕩那大罪惡極。因為我要潔淨你，而你卻不潔除你的污穢，那麼、非等到我平息了我向你發的烈怒，你是再也不能潔淨的了。

你們為甚麼悖逆了又悖逆，要繼續受責打呢？嘿，滿頭創痍，滿心全發暈。

『你奉永恆主的名對我們說的話，我們不聽你。我們一定要實行我們口中所說出的一切話：向天后燻祭，澆奠祭，按着我們和我們列祖、我們的王和首領在猶大城市和耶路撒冷街上素常所行的一樣；那時我們喫飽飯，享福樂，不見災禍呀。自從我們停止了向天后燻祭、澆奠祭，我們倒缺乏了一切，又因刀劍饑荒而滅絕了。』婦女們說：『我們向天后燻祭，澆奠祭，難道沒有我們丈夫的同意就作天后像的祭餅去供奉她，向她澆奠祭麼？』
