“ Son of man, the people of Israel have become dross to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace. They are but the dross of silver.

Son of man, the house of Israel is become dross unto me: all of them are brass and tin and iron and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver.

主將世間一切惡人、除之如渣滓、因此我喜悅主之法度、

爾銀變為渣、爾酒雜以水、

彼皆悖逆特甚、皆讒毀人者、皆若銅若鐵、皆作惡者、風箱己焦、鉛錫當因火而消、鍊而又鍊、終屬徒然、惡劣者仍然未除、人必稱之為被棄之銀、因主已棄之矣、

我鍛鍊爾、然非若銀也、然非若銀也或作並未得銀我以苦難之爐試驗爾、

鍊銀者鼎、鍊金者爐、鑒察人心者乃主、

哀哉金失其光、兼金變色、聖所之石、傾於各衢首、哀哉郇之赤子、昔為珍寶、可比精金、今則如陶人手所製之瓦器、

我必加手於爾、消融爾渣滓、盡除爾鉛錫、

我知爾乃頑梗、鐵項銅額、

我震怒發忿集爾、置於其中鎔爾、如人集銀銅鐵錫鉛於冶爐中、鼓火炎烈以鎔之、

彼因恐懼、雖可匿之磐巖、亦必越過、或作彼之力必因恐懼而歸於無有彼之將帥、必因旗纛而驚怯、此乃在郇有火場、在耶路撒冷有火爐之主所言、
