「人子啊，你要說有關亞捫人及其恥辱的預言，告訴他們，主耶和華說，『有刀，有刀已出鞘，為要殺戮；它亮如閃電，要行毀滅。

『人子啊，你要傳神言說：關於亞捫人和他們的辱罵、主永恆主是這麼說的：你要說：有刀劍，有拔出來的刀劍要屠殺，是已擦亮，要燦爛發光、像閃電的——

惟爾人子、當預言云、主耶和華論亞捫人、及其侮辱之言曰、有刃出鞘、磨光殺戮、猶如閃電、以行吞滅、

惟爾人子、當以未來事語人、云、亞捫人凌辱以色列族、故主耶和華曰、鋒刃已拔、加以磨礪、光芒閃爍、殺戮人民。

惟爾人子、亞捫人凌辱以色列族、爾當指彼言未來之事、曰、主天主如是云、有刃、有拔出之刃、為行殺戮而磨、以致光明閃爍、

“ And you, son of man, prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says about the Ammonites and their insults:“‘ A sword, a sword, drawn for the slaughter, polished to consume and to flash like lightning!

“ Son of man, prophesy. Say,‘ The Lord and King speaks about the Ammonites. He also talks about the way they laugh because of Jerusalem’s fall. He says,“‘ “A sword! A sword! Nebuchadnezzar’s sword is ready to kill you. It is shined to destroy you. It flashes like lightning.

“ And you, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord God concerning the Ammonites and concerning their reproach; say, A sword, a sword is drawn for the slaughter. It is polished to consume and to flash like lightning—

“ And now, son of man, prophesy concerning the Ammonites and their mockery. Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ A sword, a sword is drawn for your slaughter. It is polished to destroy, flashing like lightning!

“ Now you, son of man, prophesy, and say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says concerning the Ammonites and their contempt.’ You are to proclaim,‘ A sword! A sword is drawn for slaughter, polished to consume, to flash like lightning.

“ And you, son of man, prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Lord God says concerning the sons of Ammon and their taunting,’ and say:‘ A sword, a sword is drawn, sharpened for the slaughter, to make it consume, so that it may be like lightning—

“ And you, son of man, prophesy and say,‘ Thus says the Lord God concerning the Ammonites and concerning their reproach,’ and say:‘ A sword, a sword is drawn, Polished for slaughter, For consuming, for flashing—

And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say thou, A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is furbished, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning;

“ Now prophesy, son of man, and say: This is what the Lord God says concerning the Ammonites and their contempt. You are to proclaim: A sword! A sword is drawn for slaughter, polished to consume, to flash like lightning.

And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword[ is] drawn: for the slaughter[ it is] furbished, to consume because of the glittering:

“ As for you, son of man, prophesy and say,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says concerning the Ammonites and their coming humiliation; say:“‘ A sword, a sword drawn for slaughter, polished to consume, to flash like lightning–

“ You, son of man, prophesy, and say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says this concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach:“ A sword! A sword is drawn! It is polished for the slaughter, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning;

一條路通往亞捫的拉巴城，一條路通往猶大的堅城耶路撒冷。

以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華說：「我聽見了摩押人的譭謗和亞捫人的辱罵。他們譭謗我的子民，揚言侵佔他們的土地。我憑自己的永恆起誓，摩押和亞捫必刺草叢生、鹽坑遍地、永遠荒廢，如所多瑪和蛾摩拉一樣。我餘下的子民必擄掠他們，我倖存的百姓必承受他們的土地。」

「人子啊，你要面向亞捫人，說預言斥責他們，告訴他們要聽主耶和華的話。主耶和華說，『當我的聖所被褻瀆，以色列變得荒涼，猶大人被擄的時候，你們竟然哈哈而樂。所以我要使東方人侵佔你們的地方。他們必在你們的土地上安營紮寨，吃你們出產的果子，喝你們牛羊的奶。我要使拉巴成為駱駝的草場，使亞捫人的土地變成羊群歇息之處，這樣你們便知道我是耶和華。「主耶和華說，『你們看到以色列的災禍，便幸災樂禍，手舞足蹈。因此，我要伸手攻擊你們，使你們成為各國的俘虜。我必從萬民中剷除你們，從萬國中消滅你們，使你們滅絕。這樣，你們就知道我是耶和華。』

論到亞捫人，耶和華說：「難道以色列沒有子孫，沒有繼承人嗎？為什麼祭拜米勒公的人佔據了迦得，住在城邑中？」耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要使亞捫人的拉巴城外響起戰爭的呐喊。拉巴必淪為廢墟，它周圍的鄉村都要被焚燒，以色列人必收復失地。這是耶和華說的。「希實本啊，哀哭吧！因為艾城毀滅了。拉巴的居民啊，痛哭吧！披上麻衣悲傷地在城牆內跑來跑去吧！因為米勒公及其祭司和官長都要被擄走。背叛的人民啊，你們為肥沃的山谷而感到自豪嗎？你們依仗財富以為無人敢來侵犯。」上帝——萬軍之耶和華說：「看啊，我要使你們四面受敵，驚恐萬狀，四散奔逃，潰不成軍。

耶和華說：「亞捫人三番四次地犯罪，我必不收回對他們的懲罰，因為他們為了擴張領土，竟剖開基列孕婦的肚腹。所以，我要在戰爭的吶喊聲中，在暴風雨吹襲的時候，降火在拉巴的城牆上，燒毀它的城堡。他們的君王和首領都要被擄。這是耶和華說的。」

殺戮者已來到曠野中光禿的山嶺，耶和華使刀劍橫掃全境，無人倖免。
